Strategy Consultant - Electronic and High Tech clients
Strategy is involved in business consulting and the application of technologies to business. The Global Capability Network (or CN) forms the core of the distributed consulting model within Consulting Strategy and leverages the expertise of its 2000+ high performing consultants to support consulting engagements throughout the globe.
Role Description :
- This role is for a senior leader within the Global Capability Network's Communications, Media, and Technology (CN - CMT) practice.
- The CMT practice within the Capability Network boasts over 100 industry experts supporting client engagements across the globe. About half of these individuals focus on the Electronics and High Tech (CN - E&HT) industry vertical and this is a senior leadership role with CN - E&HT.
- The CN - E&HT practice serves leading global clients including Hardware and Software Providers, Telecom Equipment Vendors, Aerospace and Defense manufacturers, Electronic and Enterprise Technology providers, and Medical Technology providers.
- The CN - E&HT practice has witnessed rapid growth and is looking for a seasoned leader to help take it to the next level of growth within organization Strategy. This leader would help drive business development (inside and end-client sales), engagement/project delivery, practice growth, and capability development.
- The ability to innovate and create new models for engaging Capability Network from Consultancy accounts globally will be one key success factor for the role.
- Building and engaging a team of high performing (and highly utilized) consultants is another important success factor.
- Building deep account and peer relationships will be another important criteria for success
Role Requirements :
- This role is for a professional with 12+ years of progressively increasing consulting experience at leading international consulting firm(s).
- The role requires significant experience within the Electronics and High Tech Industry vertical.
Specific requirements for the role are as follows:
Business Development :
The ideal candidate would have at least 6 years of experience in positioning and selling consulting engagements to leading Electronic and High Tech clients across the globe this includes development of SOWs, sales support, and direct as well as indirect selling.
Project Delivery :
The ideal candidate would have at least 7 -12 years of consulting delivery experience having delivered over 30 high impact consulting engagements and managed consulting teams ranging from 2 - 20 resources. Specific areas of focus could include:
- Market or Product Entry Strategy and Implementation
- Sales or Service Transformation
- Business Process Transformation/Transition
- PMO and Value Office Leadership
- Change Management and Adoption
Other Requirements :
- MBA from a Tier 1 Global or Indian B-school is MANDATORY
- Experience working with - C- level executive clients
- Global exposure
- Ability to travel extensively (primarily international travel)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good Listening skills
