Strategic Sourcing Role - Pharma

Responsible for Sourcing of Finished Formulations from India/APAC for the Regulated Markets.

- Category Management within TPO (Third Party Operations) includes procurement of finished products from our third party business partners amounting to ~ $ 1.5 b spend annually. This includes various dosage forms including OSD category (and related sub-categories like tablets, capsules, sachets, lozenges, films, gums), LCO (Liquid, Creams and Ointments) and Steriles.

- Low Cost Country sourcing is a key global initiative in category management, which requires internal cost benchmarking across sites / external business partners, assessing technical feasibility of transfer of products to low cost countries like India / APAC and creating business cases for transfer of selected products.

- As a global category lead of one of the selected categories, candidate is expected to fully understand and analyze business requirements, and develop and drive best in class, innovative category strategies for semi-finished and finished pharmaceutical products licensed or sourced from business development partners, contract manufacturers, and contract packagers for relevant technologies in full alignment with all relevant stakeholders from R&D, Network Strategy, GNPS, Business Development, Alliance Management, TPO SRT (incl. Finance, MS&T, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, etc.), up to Portfolio / Commercial Operations, to achieve agreed savings targets for TPO Procurement.

- The candidate should have good understanding of the global demand and supply market, especially of India and Asia pacific markets, latest trends, cost drivers along with business understanding of the overall pharmaceutical industry and related regulations.

- As a global category lead of one of the selected categories, candidate is expected to develop and drive best in class, innovative procurement category strategies
