Role Overview:
As the SBU Head, you'll lead India operations, ensuring profitability, operational excellence, and market growth. Reporting to the Managing Director and the Global Board, you will drive the company's strategic agenda, oversee a team of 350+ across multiple functions, and uphold top-tier industry standards in quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Set and implement growth plans to drive productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness.
- People Leadership: Guide and support cross-functional teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee capital investments, regulatory audits, and optimize resources for lean operations.
- Sales & Marketing: Execute impactful sales strategies for both domestic and export markets.
- Financial Management: Full P&L responsibility, with a strong focus on budgeting and ROI.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strengthen relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering; MBA preferred.
- Experience: 20+ years in engineering/manufacturing with 4-5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in sales-driven environments and ERP systems is desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proven strategic leadership with a focus on sales growth and market positioning.
- Strong operational and financial acumen, with expertise in large-scale manufacturing.
- Effective communicator with solid people management skills.
- Proficient in English and Gujarati.
