Strategic Business Unit Head - Travel Tech
Company Background:
- The company is a B2B travel-tech aggregator, which consolidates travel content (airfares, hotel room rates, etc.) from suppliers (airlines, hotels) and distributes them to travel agents, corporates, and other online travel platforms.
- The company was started in 2019 and has scaled up to be one of the largest companies in the travel distribution space in India, within a span of four years. Further, the exponential growth has come in on the back of strong unit economics of the business, with the business being profitable and cash flow generating from Day 1.
Objective: The company is looking for a seasoned professional who can take up the role of the Strategic Business Unit Head of the Corporate and Marine vertical of the company. This individual should be able to own the entire P&L of the vertical and be responsible for relationships with corporates, driving sales and account management, managing the working capital / collections and be responsible for the overall profitability of the division.
- This role requires deep understanding and experience in the corporate travel industry. This individual should bring fresh strategic thinking to the business and be a key thought partner to the CEO.
Prior qualifications / skill sets:- Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales and marketing or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of senior-level experience in the corporate travel distribution industry

Responsibilities-
Sales and account management: Drive sales growth in the Corporate and Marine vertical, take responsibility for existing account management.

Financial management: Set up processes to monitor working capital cycles, receivable management and cash collections; take up responsibility of the overall corporate P&L.

Conceptualization of tech tools like a Self-Booking portal: Develop a roadmap for a self-service corporate self-booking tool. Work closely with the technology and product management teams by providing clear business requirements gained from user feedback.

Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies. Anticipate market shifts and proactively adapt strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.
