Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
- Lead the manufacturing, continuous improvement, productivity improvement teams. Drive improvements via performance measurement, 5S, visual mgmt, mistake proofing, QCO, standard work, TPM, QCPC, 6 sigma, and other relevant tools.
- Organize and design all lean activities within location that will impact business initiatives.
- Provided leadership and support to distribution operations as the company continues to implement continuous improvement and production excellence initiatives.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Prioritized Responsibilities:
- Evaluate production bottlenecks and develop action plans to resolve business problem across departments. Set and monitor performance goals. Also, develop VSMs for multiple value streams within HCCB with maximum number of kaizens identified for each, prioritized kaizens in HCCB to improve Net Revenue.
- Plan, deploy, and lead all lean activities that will produce significant cost savings though productivity, quality, waste reduction improvements, and improving business processes.
- Established standard work for freight recovery & BBD which leads to loss of huge revenue for HCCB. Optimized Freight-in improving use of available truck capacity to deliver estimated annual savings.

- Ensure effective and efficient S&OP process is established
- Establish best practices within HCCB/Industry to get replicated all across locations for superior business outcomes with focus on
- Shells and Glass program - Re-invigorate and arrest 22% decline of RGB business. Process must incorporate Finance, Operations, Commercial, Procurement, and Supply Chain
- Improve Fill Rate - work with supply chain, it, finance, and operations - one of the easiest ways to grow revenue. This can increase sales of some customers/distributors by more than 20% in year.
COMMUNICATION:
- Managing cross functional multiple senior stakeholders and their perspectives and incorporating the same appropriately.
- Creating and then motivating a cross functional team whose primary motive may be to finish the current job and go back to their regular work
- Developing and then selling solutions to senior management as part of continuous improvement project work.
- Manage complex communication scenarios where this roles has to communicate across categories, geographies, functions to drive revenue focus in HCCB.
ANALYSIS:
- Analysing and solving various problems using operational excellence principles using Lean and Six Sigma tools. Ability interpret both tangible and intangible data to come to solutions,
- Understanding the business end to end keeping in mind a customer orientation and having the understanding that this is primarily a selling organization.
- The role has to demonstrate the ability to link primary data and secondary data with business outcomes to identify and improve existing process for driving revenue.
- Innovation: List duties for creating/changing processes, systems, products:
- If any project like S&OP streamlining or CRS is part of this team then any innovation therein.
- In general this is a change management role and it impacts process and systems as an inherent job responsibility. To that extent this is a process innovation space.
