Steel Strips Wheels - Head - Quality

Responsible for managing and continuously improving quality performance in line with the company's standards

Role and Responsibilities : 

- Promotes and develops proactive quality culture, actively communicate the importance of quality and engages the organization.

- Acts as the management representative for quality

- Sets quality targets in line with company's targets

- Analyses feedback from customer and field and proactively gathers and analyses data to identify continuous improvement opportunities

- Liaise with functional and operational leaders to develop and execute continuous quality improvement projects

- Responsible for Quality Assurance at all processes controls. (Product & process audits, closure of NC's by PDCA approach to sustain the robust quality systems)

- Responsible to control the quality control expenses (include consumables, gauges etc.,) with in the budget (Cost per wheel)

- Devising and establishing a company's quality procedures, standards and specifications

- Responsible for Quality Systems implementation, like IATF, ISO 14001, ISO 18001 etc.,

- Identifying ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency

- Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff

- Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures

- Determining, negotiating and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications

- Specifying quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers

- Investigating and setting standards for quality and health and safety

- Determining training needs

- Directing objectives to maximize profitability

- Recording, analyzing and distributing statistical information

Qualifications and Education Requirements : 

Education: B. E. / B. Tech.

Experience : 12- 15 years in Casting & Machining Process / Quality Control / Quality Assurance / quality systems, Preferably from Alloy wheel background.

Preferred Skills : 

- SAP QA module for material movement, production

- International quality standards like VDA, IATF, JIS, Q1 etc.,

- Knowledge on Drawings / test specs / standards etc of all world gaint customers like Ford, Dimler, Nissan, Suzuki, etc.,

- Knowledge on alloy wheel Casting, machining & painting methods / process,

- Systems like TPM. TQM, LEAN & various quality systems

- Knowledge of SPC, PPAC, Control Plan, FMEA, Poka yoka, 7 QC tools, MSA and others latest quality management system, tools and techniques

- Knowledge of gauges, calibration system and tools, latest system, methods and tools for internal audit
