Basic Purpose of Job :

Global Treasury (GT) is responsible for overall balance sheet management including credit, interest rate, and liquidity risk. Global Liquidity Management (GLM) team is part of the Global Treasury organization. GLM's purpose is to detect, understand, measure, analyze, monitor, communicate and influence liquidity across the corporation in order to ensure that State Street and its subsidiaries can meet all contractual and contingent financial obligations through typical market cycles as well as periods of stress. This is completed while balancing the most efficient inventory of excess liquidity in order to maximize shareholder value and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.

GT is currently looking for a Liquidity Analyst to support the Bank's varied and geographically spread legal entity structure. Through the design and production of key management reporting, the role will support each entity's regulatory obligations and firm wide strategic objectives.

The key task for the role is to support the execution of the local liquidity risk frameworks across EMEA and APAC. This includes the production and monitoring of various liquidity metrics, stress testing and supporting the continuous evolution for both of the former. Providing value added analytics is a fundamental expection of the role as is the ability to provide strategic input into time critical initiatives.

Responsibilities & Tasks Include :

- Support the monitoring and oversight of intra-day liquidity on a real-time basis.

- Create and distribute daily liquidity reporting providing narrative around threshold triggers.


- Run and execute periodic stress tests including supportive governance materials.

- Work with functionalized pillars within liquidity management to deploy tactical changes at the legal entity level.

- Proactively understand and support the implementation of any regulatory changes.

- Assist in the completion of ad hoc tasks such as the liquidity impact assessment of new business proposals or structural balance sheet changes.

- Collaborate with technology on the advancement of a production environment for reporting, stress testing and harmonized tools.

Job Requirements :

Education and Experience :

- Minimum of an undergraduate degree, preferably in Finance /Accounting or related field, 4-7 Years of experience in banking, financial services with some exposure to liquidity risk management in either a first or second line role.

Skills/ Knowledge :

- Proven analytical skills.

- High proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Python- or another programming language a plus.

- Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, work independently while maintaining attention to detail and meet deliverables in a demanding and deadline-oriented environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to construct compelling arguments.

- Knowledge of financial markets and an interest in keeping abreast of current economic and regulatory themes.

- Self-motivated, self-assured, and self-managed.

- Results oriented ownership mindset.
