We currently have an opening for a macroeconomics research analyst located in Bangalore. You will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing and communicating information on macroeconomic and financial market developments in the major industrialized and developing economies. The position is highly visible, involving interactions with investment professionals, client-facing teams, clients and prospects.

Responsibilities include:

- Monitor macroeconomic trends across economies and evaluate their impact on financial markets, which cover sovereign, FX, and equities.

- Publish research that relate event risks or prominent trends to the macro-economy and asset markets with a focus on the geographies responsible for.

- Interact with different investment teams and client facing teams to broadcast key insights on macro-economic development

- Co-author Weekly Economics Perspectives-the flagship publication of the State Street Global Advisors Economics Team.

- Support publication of the SSGA Quarterly-which includes working on global forecasts, and outlooks for G7 economies. Provide inputs for the Global Market Outlook publication.

Applicants should have:

- Advanced degree in Economics preferred

- CFA designation a plus

- 5-10 years of professional/academic experience

- Programming skills (Python/R)

- Knowledge of financial markets (CFA preferred)

- Strong communication (especially writing) skills.

- Knowledge of FactSet and Bloomberg are pluses.
