The Role :

To achieve a competitive differentiation in the lending business, the company plans to invest in proprietary data intelligence algorithms and advanced analytics tools/techniques, which can effectively prospect, underwrite and engage through the customer's lifecycle in the digital and offline channels.

The incumbent will report to the CEO of the company and focus on building algorithms & scorecards leveraging credit bureau, surrogate and alternative data to drive decision models across various business segments such as:

- Credit

- Fraud risk management

- Marketing efficiency

- Operational efficiency

- Collections

Expectations :

- Develop risk scorecards and insights to identify profitable customers leveraging credit bureau, surrogate and alternate data

- Research and apply innovative text mining and machine learning algorithms to extract new features to improve quality of decision across marketing, credit and fraud risk management and collections

- Partner with Data Engineering team to identify traditional/alternate data across the digital ecosystem and play a role in defining our data strategy road map

- Play a leadership role in implementation & adoption of developed models

- Partner with consumer businesses to define analytics strategy for lending products

- Gain strong business understanding of the retail lending business in India

Competencies :

- 3+ Years of experience as data scientist or statistical modeler in financial services, software, e-commerce or consulting companies

- 2+ years of experience working with R, Python, SQL and open source machine learning packages

- Expert level proficiency in statistical and machine learning modeling techniques

- Hands-on Experience in scorecard or algorithm development

- Experience working in Big Data Platform is big plus

- BE/BTech from Tier 1 colleges

- Experience in lending business(s)
