- Interface with several verticals of the Government such as Revenue, Finance, Industry, Labour & Employment, HRD, MSME, Urban Development, External Affairs etc.
- Government Department/Regulatory Authorities for obtaining sanction/approval and ensured compliance as per the statutory obligations
- Incumbent shall be responsible for liaising with key external stakeholders for influencing policy-making and other business environment matters at States and Central (Where necessary) level to ensure the protection of the Company's interest vis-a vis ongoing legislation and support continued growth of business
- Managed & maintained healthy relationship with stakeholders like politicians, bureaucrats, and apex industry
- To Build and maintain good relationship with Senior Bureaucrats of Government at Secretaries level and create network with all the external agencies related with lines of business by developing personal relations with all the officials across the Board on ongoing basis
- Build, establish and coordinate relationships with key ministries/organizations (Central & State)
- Develop and maintain respective government affairs monitoring tools and processes to deliver expertise in a manner that meets legislative requirements
- Help the organization get ready for the new policy provisions
- Policy tracking & advocacy
- Regularly track the upcoming notifications from central & state government
- Follow up with respective government departments for upcoming policy and changes in the existing policy
- Prepare and update key policy matrix on monthly basis
- Ability to interpret and make notes from agreements/writings/understandings
- Working closely with Business Heads and on their behalf, addressing their issues with various ministries/organization in the government (state ral)
- Also work closely and network with key functionaries in the government like PMO, Cabinet Secretaries, Security Agencies, Ministry of Home Affairs etc.
- Helping in building a positive image of company & representing business and work extensively with industry groups and associations, including providing inputs and direction to proactive/reactive responses by associations/chambers to industry issues, policy development etc.
Expectation from the Incumbent
- MBA/PG from a top reputed college/university
- 10-14 years of professional experience in corporate affairs
- Good drafting ability, accuracy, and ability to think strategically
- Strong communication and presentations skills to effectively work with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong team player and problem solver
- Strong IT skills for research and presentation
- Enthusiastic & welcoming towards frequent travel work visits
