Standard Chartered Bank - Manager - Business Planning & Analytics

JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is to enable the management to take timely and informed decisions through various analytical reports on business and finance areas

Business Planning & Analytics

- Conducting Business reviews highlighting trends on volumes, margins, financials, branch performance, credit health

- Financial statement analysis with evaluation of past, current and projected performance of Business Units. Preparation of 5 Year Financial Plan, quarterly and monthly financial forecast at entity, business segments and product level

- Cost control and prevention of cost leakages. Formulating cost drivers and ratios governing business products.

- Preparation of Functional Specific Document along with vendor and conducting extensive UAT by creating scenarios

- Reviewing the business plan for the all products and assessing the Balance Sheet, P&L, Borrowing Plan and CMA

- Formulate, conceptualize and prepare MIS to present on monthly basis for the Senior-Management

- Preparation of consolidated financials along with business financials. Analysis of broad expense heads into granular level. Variance analysis against actual and plan. Reviewing branch & Unit performance.

Operational Governance

- Ensure satisfactory ratings in all internal and external audits on planning and analytics

- Perform regular KCS checks mandated and proactively ensure there are no operational errors/ loss

- Timely and accurate submission of all MIS

- Assist in Financial & Regulatory Reporting

- To assist in monthly, quarterly and annual Financial and Regulatory Reporting

- To assist in quarterly and annual audits

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

1. CA/MBA - Banking and Finance (NBFC Preferred) with 4-7 yrs work experience

2. Knowledge of and experience in Secured and Unsecured Retail Lending

3. Understanding of key profitability drivers and the sales and operational components of Secured Lending
