Stakeboat Capital - Analyst - Investment Team

Stakeboat Capital is a private equity firm focused on buyouts and control / co-control investment opportunities, across small and medium enterprises (SMEs). We focus on companies from the sectors such as healthcare, life sciences, and pharma, specialized manufacturing, and B2B technology/ business/ services.

Role Description: We are looking to hire an analyst to join our investment team. The role will be based out of Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities:

- Research and develop market intelligence on following sectors: (i) healthcare, life sciences, and pharma, (ii) specialized manufacturing, and (iii) B2B technology/ business/ services

- Conduct research on companies using company presentations, financial projections, related industry data from public sources, information on competitors, etc.

- Perform robust market assessments, product/ technology validations, and financial analysis of companies. Ability to do financial modeling, valuation analysis including DCF, relative valuation, and associated sensitivity analysis

- Attend investment conferences and interact with founders for further investment consideration

- Assist in business, legal, operational, and financial due diligence

- Support and monitor the progress of existing portfolio companies. Provide strategic and operational support to the companies as and when required. Assist with regular reporting and prepare portfolio and performance summaries

Ideal qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree or its equivalent

- 6 months - 2 years of prior work experience in a quantitative or strategic role (preferably at a management consulting firm, PE/ VC firm, or an investment bank)

- Strong written, analytical and financial modeling skills with impeccable attention to detail

- Curiosity and enthusiasm to learn

- Self-motivated with an ability to work in ambiguity with minimum supervision

- Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal skills
