Staff Engineer - Aerospace Advanced Technology Systems Hardware :
- Responsible for developing technology roadmap and flawless execution strategy for hardware aspects (electrical/electronic) in global and regional projects
- Responsible for driving hardware execution improvement projects of advanced technology (impact to cycle-time, cost and quality) by leveraging methodologies/practices of Lean Six Sigma
- Accountable for regional pursuits of joint advanced technology projects in aerospace and defense domain (RFI/RFP/Proposals).
- Application of working knowledge of several technologies, careful judgment, and application of modern technical tools to diverse, often difficult-to-define problems and requirements
- Must have extensive hands-on experience in one or more safety critical systems (aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial, etc)
- Establish strong customer connect (defense research Labs, PSUs, airlines, armed forces, airports) resulting in robust opportunity pipeline supporting strategic goals of Customers and Honeywell
- Enable strong connects with local suppliers/partners and develop robust eco-system for research and development
- Closely work with global advanced technology business development leader and R&D leaders to align practices and priorities for India region.
- Work with cross-functional teams from engineering and support functions (finance, legal, export, etc) to create pursuit response and driving successful project execution
- Technical expert to mentor and groom engineers on the technical career path
- Must hold Bachelor or Master Degree or PhD in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Avionics) with 15+ years of relevant industry experience (safety critical systems)
- Must be able to connect with customers, understand their needs and develop project proposals which are of mutual interest and focus
- Must have prior experience in working in technology pursuits for regional or global customers
- Must have strong technical background at system or sub-system level in safety critical systems
- Must have worked in 3 or more end to end product development projects with significant accountability in hardware function
- Must be well versed with industry standards and practices related to hardware architecture, design, qualification and certification
- Must have excellent communication, collaboration and networking skills
- Must have entrepreneurial mindset with business and technical acumen
