Sr Supply Chain Manager, Cloudtail (Amazon Subsidiary)
About the company: Cloudtail India Private Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Prione Business Services Private Limited. Prione Business Services Private Limited is a joint venture between Catamaran Management Services Private Limited and Amazon Asia Pacific Resources Private Limited. Cloudtail India Pvt Ltd. is one of the sellers on the www.amazon.in platform and operates in various product groups such as Consumer Electronics, Apparels, Media, Home& Kitchen etc.
Cloudtail is seeking an experienced candidate to lead the development and execution of innovative solutions for our business. In this highly visible and critical role, the candidate will need the strategic ability to develop and execute a vision for future. The ideal candidate will bring a strong Supply Chain and Logistics background along with an understanding of the local tax & regulatory issues and its impact on supply chain design and operations, having worked within large scale & fast moving international companies renowned for their state-of-the-art Supply Chain and Logistics functions. This person will work extensively with Retail, 3rd Party Fulfillment Centre Operations, Transportation, and Finance teams to build and successfully deliver customer focused infrastructure, processes and solutions. This person will also be spearheading our efforts to build a Fulfillment Centre Network and also bring in imported products and will have knowledge on international shippers, handling customs and all the statutory and legal requirements involved in handling of imports.
The candidate has held leadership positions in the Supply Chain function while having strong experience in Capacity Planning, Network Design, Inventory Management and S&OP. Developed strong high performing teams, providing coaching and mentorship. Demonstrated experience of successfully driving complex, milestone driven projects with a proven track record in designing/implementing advanced Supply Chain processes and tools.
The candidate provides technical guidance, professional advice and developmental training on supply chain design and execution. Leads supply chain improvement initiatives at all levels. Has expertise and in depth knowledge of supply chain functional areas and is at the forefront of changes in the supply chain field.
Responsibilities
- Candidate must have to ability to design end-to-end supply chains (inputs, outputs, rationale, gaps)
- Candidate must have the ability to handle and have working knowledge of legal and regulatory framework existing in the country and develop solutions around the same.
- Candidate must have the ability to negotiate with transporters, global shippers and freight forwarders and should leverage his contacts for building fruitful relationships.
- Hire, manage, and develop a team of high-impact program managers and highly skilled supply chain professionals.
- The candidate needs to be able to extract insights from data, latest internal and external information and be able to communicate clearly appropriate triggers and actions. High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- The right candidate thrives in a high energy environment with lots of ambiguity where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel.
- Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer
- Build metrics to measure the efficacy of the supply chain system. Owns all the metrics across the supply chain function and strive to meet and beat the goals and targets.
- Coordinate the technical development of all the systems and tools necessary for managing the different processes.
Basic Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business, Engineering or a Supply Chain/Operations discipline
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Statistics
- 7+ yrs experience managing Supply Chain operations including S&OP, Capacity Planning, Inventory Planning. Additional experience of having managed large Logistics/Transportation networks, multi-category warehouses and vendor management areas will be very useful.
- Ability to develop and manage 3PL service providers especially for categories like White Goods and Furniture
- Ability to monitor and enhance the Customer experience (all the technical settings, analysis of the failures, addressing them and helping fix them)
