Education: MBA from a Tier 1 B-school
Industry Preference: Marketing Consulting/ Management Consulting/FMCG/Consumer Durables
The position will involve travel out of India to meet clients for meetings
Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership and take responsibility for medium to large size consulting projects, facilitation of conversations across functional areas and articulate project plans to appropriate levels of management
- Work with team of analysts and domain experts to understand client issues, convert them into data problems, analyze these problems and create presentations that present the “story” from the analysis to clients
- Work directly with senior Client directors and VPs to understand key business challenges and manage data-led consulting projects that provide business answers
- Work with clients to understand their financials, marketing spends and data and build resource allocation frameworks that when implemented lead to better Marketing ROI
- Ensure all client deliverables meet client expectations in terms of scope, speed & quality
- Continuously gather & work on client inputs, perspectives, thinking & feedback
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALITIES
- Ability to read and understand consumer-goods company P&Ls, especially relating to marketing expenditures
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues and propose methodological solutions, particularly relating to marketing ROI.
- Excellent marketing domain knowledge understanding, particularly in the consumer goods domain.
- Attitude of enthusiasm, can-do and should not be afraid to roll-up his sleeves
- Should be good at Analytical thinking & breaking down large problems into solvable chunks
- Should be willing to continuously co-ordinate with teams in and out of India and hence work late hours if required. Should be willing to travel abroad at short notice
- Top notch communication skills. Need to be able to handle meetings with VP level clients and present briefs, analysis, findings in a crisp, concise & impactful manner
- Attitude of leaving no stone unturned to achieve client delight
- Ability to work with complex spreadsheets with reams of financial data & supervise analysts working on the same
- Attention to detail, Error spotting skills: Accuracy of outputs will be all important
- Must have excellent relationship building skills and must be a team player
QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA from tier-1 business school with Marketing as one of the focus areas
- 6 – 8 years of post MBA experience in management and strategy consulting, with exposure to working in the CPG domain. Experience with top tier consulting firms is desired
- Good understanding of P&Ls & Balance sheets
