Job Description:
1. JOB DETAILS:
Job Title - Consultant - Automotive (SAP) MM/WM/EWM
Reports to - Head- SAP Automotive Delivery
Direct Reports - None
Department - Enterprise IT
Location- Dubai, UAE
Grade - Proposed Grade: G
2. JOB PURPOSE:
- The Consultant - Automotive (SAP) needs to understand and implement the best Business Processes in a SAP environment by designing appropriate solutions supporting the business processes as part of the overall SAP programme.
- Within their particular process area, the Consultant - Automotive (SAP) will be responsible for the global solution which includes responsibility for the method and processes used to translate Automotive parts business requirements into a coherent solution considering balancing both the functional needs and data architecture. The role will be the key in providing support to the team that is tasked with building and testing the end solution. Implementing appropriate processes to drive high quality and sustainable solutions will be critical.

Description of the Accountability
- Performance Indicators (How accountability is measured) Support and Maintenance of the SAP systems The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage SAP Automotive configuration and other business process related activities including:
- Provide an expert level of skills & knowledge in the evaluation, development, testing and delivery of SAP Automotive application and business process developments mainly in the area of Automotive Parts Supply Chain.
- Collaborate with the business in identifying functional requirements for process groups, and create corresponding technical specifications
- Create and modify SAP configurations using defined development standards, procedures, and design specifications
- Develop test scripts, perform unit testing, and contribute to integration testing of development objects
- Provide technical support to end users; diagnose and resolve application-related issues, identify root causes, as well as institute corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Carry out detailed impact assessments for proposed change requests, proposing alternative cost-effective solutions where appropriate.
- Ensure Change Controls are developed, tested & released according to an agreed schedule and ensure all high business impact changes are escalated as appropriate.
- Expected to be involved in support activities and a number of development activities and to have developed excellent business process design skills.
- Exhibits the ability to also understand ABAP and SAP EWM interface related issues.
- Actual performance against business service level agreements for the team/functional area (e.g. number of bugs, timeline adherence, number of closed and open tickets for the team, average closure time, number of
permanent fixes, quality of documentation etc.)
- Design and Evolution of the business process design The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage all aspect of the business mapping and blueprinting process including:
- Process design and gap analysis to standard SAP functionality within the business blueprint project phase
- Able to evaluate the system strategies and requirements related to new SAP components; recommending and implementing them Developing and documenting the detailed design and configuration of the business process
- Usage of SAP best practice configuration and processes Ability to come up with innovative ideas and implement them.
- Ability to provide robust solutions for complex business requirements
- Ability to come up with ideas which reduce Total cost of ownership and implement them.
- Delivery of Program/Project solutions/Request for change Responsible for leading the design and configuration streams within complex SAP solutions
- Develop functional specifications for reports, forms, and interfaces, modifications, and data conversions Legacy data mapping and integration to other modules and Legacy applications.
- Ensure that product upgrades, enhancements, and future roll out projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end user requirements.
- Operating in a programme context, including participation in cross functional teams and working with people and organisations from different regions/cultures
- Adherence to quality and timeline standards set by organization Follow organization's standards for configuration, development, testing and training.
- Adherence to documentation standards (Solution manager) for all project / RFC deliveries
Continuous Improvement
- Work with other functional teams within IT and the Business to identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in the implementation of those agreed
- Maintain and enhance SAP Development skills and knowledge.
- Identify and recommend new technologies to management, as well as detail potential applications and implications for the business.
- Expected to provide positive influence to junior members of the SAP team and be capable of advising on additional process improvement opportunities.

Functional Team Coordination
- Coordinate a team of functional resources, ensuring committed delivery within timeline and quality constraints
- Maintain close working relationships with EIT team members, infrastructure groups, and customers to ensure broad awareness of program status and issues.

4. JOB CONTEXT:

- Products: SAP IS Automotive (Logistics execution / Extended warehouse management/Dealer business management / Materials Management), SAP Solution Manager etc.
- Markets: AF Group in the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt, Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and Singapore

5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
- A degree in Information Systems or Business Administration related discipline
- Knowledge of SAP Automotive and its interfaces to other SAP modules SAP professional certification in related area of MM,WM or EWM will be a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge of ASAP methodology
- Working knowledge of Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Minimum Experience:
- A minimum of five (6) years experience in the design, configuration, testing, debugging, delivery and support of SAP Automotive processes, and 3 full SAP project life cycles of significant size, scope and complexit (Required).
- Understanding of ABAP preferred.
- Involvement in SAP Automotive environment as a Solution lead would be advantageous.
