DGM/ Sr. Manager - Rural Strategy and Insights

Experience – 10-15 years

Location : Mumbai

Work towards building on rural related activities to strengthen Mahindra brand equity with all stakeholders. The incumbent will be expected to formulate and deliver a robust Rural Strategy for the group and independent businesses.

Job Description:

- To explore, identify and develop new business opportunities either adjacent to the current Mahindra business or in entirely new areas in the rural markets - based on discussions with various industry players as well as continued scanning of the Rural Economy

- To formulate business entry strategy for identified / shortlisted business opportunities.

- To conduct detailed data analysis from in-house rural market research as well as external secondary information to bring out directions, trends and patterns in the rural economy and the likely implications for M&M businesses

- To support and do value add to M&M sectors and businesses on ongoing projects and other new initiatives.

- Work closely with the RSI team and supporting them on day-to-day activities related to collation, analysis and dissemination of information.

Desired Candidate Profile

Graduate, with a PGD in Management preferably from IIMs, FMS, XLRI, IRMA

Experience - 10 - 15 years

- Strong at business evaluation (project report preparation, project feasibility) based on secondary / primary research

- Basic understanding and ‘pulse’ of Rural India

- Strategic Orientation

- Writes and presents effectively; take effective ‘positions’ based on data and insights

- Establish strong relationships & collaborate effectively with colleagues, partners and across industry

- Build wide and useful networks of contacts inside and outside the organization
