Sr Manager - Production/PPC - Plant/Mfg

The person is responsible for the deliverables of manufacturing in terms of efficiency , productivity , cost , on time shipment , quality , Customer Interface , safety & people development .

- He will coordinate & align with other critical functions as engineering / logistics / procurement and assume leadership role in Plant management .

- This position will be groomed as second in command for Plant Head & will be involved in strategic exercises

- By way of delegation within production team , quality – lean manager, and the engineering- maintenance manager, this person is to plan for and lead the manufacturing function.

- Although leadership of the Binning Area is not formally part of this role, there is an informal responsibility to ensure that Binning Area operations are working in harmony with manufacturing, and that safety, quality, efficiency and cultural prerogatives are met there as well.

Essential Deliverables :

- Planning & scheduling manufacturing of products in compliance with company goals and objectives.

- Establishing and controlling conditions of production in order to satisfy customer and quality specifications.

- Driving standardization, cost reduction, and systemic improvement

- Directing subordinates towards the provision and execution of operating strategies and plans.

- Organizing and directing workflow for satisfying production requirement in a cost-efficient manner.

- Motivating the team towards development of cost-effective alternatives and improvements to production process; coaching and mentoring within those improvement initiatives where required; assigning resources to, and vetting improvement ideas as required.

- Investigation and analysing new production products and processes, where feasible.

- Maintaining employee safety and morale by creating safe working and efficient working environment.

- Maintaining proper employment levels through selecting, interviewing, and training of personnel.

- Performing analysis of manufacturing materials and determining optimum control levels.

- Liaising with Sales & Marketing teams, on planning and predicting customer orders to satisfy shipments.

- Maximizing the efficiency of production lines and ensuring the effective employment utilization.

- Ensuring effectiveness of the engineering, maintenance and facilities management programs

- Setting strategic direction aligning strategic direction with global long term business planning
