Sr Manager - IT/Information Security

Location: Gurgaon

Information Security

- Experience in defining and administering Information Security Policies

- Knowledge of security standards like ISO 27001, SSAE 16

- Must have been involved in Security certifications / audits

- Develop and maintain Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Plans

Internal Applications Management

- Identify and discuss the need of business applications with all internal departments

- Evaluate different products in the market, discuss with different vendor

- Change management

Contracts/ Vendor Management

- Review all hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts, soliciting involvement and participation of other management team members as appropriate.

- Evaluate alternatives, performs appropriate cost benefit analysis, and recommends solutions that maximize effectiveness and minimize costs commensurate with acceptable risks.

- Manage relationships with vendors for sales, service and support of all information systems and technology. Maintain problem logs, documenting system errors or defects.

System Administration / Reporting

- Ensure that all information systems and networks operate according to the internal security standards, regulatory agencies and legal requirements.

- Develop and maintain the systems architecture, defining standards and protocols for data exchange, communications, software and interconnection of information systems.

- Coordinate and manage reporting needs and data analysis. Ensure that the gathering, processing, distribution and use of pertinent information required by management to make decisions occur in a timely, accurate and cost effective manner.

- Oversee the linkage between external technology systems and the organization’s IT resources; including systems for electronic data exchange.

- Oversee the development, maintenance, and communication of systems documentation, policies, and procedures.

Training

- Communicate IS/IT plans, policies and technology trends throughout the organization, including management groups and professional staff.

- Update documentation and on-line help facilities.

Education and Experience

Essential:

1. B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech / M.C.A / M.B.A degree from a recognized university in India (or foreign university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities)

2. Should have at least one certification out of CCNA/ CCNP/ CCSP/ RHCE/ MCSE

3. 6-8 years of work experience relevant to the job description

4. Experience of leading IT teams

Desirable:

1. Professional degree or certification related to elements of the job description (IT, Information Security, Project Management etc)

2. Experience in managing one or more 3rd party certifications like ISO 27001, SSAE 16

3. Experience in customer-facing roles

Knowledge and Skills:

Essential:

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in managing IT Infrastructure, Applications & Information Security -

- Experience in managing both in house and outsourced IT Operations.

- Familiarity with desktop, notebook, handheld, and server computer hardware.

- Familiarity with local and wide area network design, implementation, and operation.

- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Unix, and Linux.

- Knowledge of various office productivity software programs such as word processing, databases, spreadsheet programs, and communications software.

- Knowledge of business processes and their interrelationship gained through three or more years of related experience.

- Familiarity with Business Intelligence Solutions
