Sr Manager - Govt Affairs - Auto OEM

We have an URGENT opening in Government Affairs Department with a Leading Passenger Car Manufacturing Giant (OEM)

JOB ROLE:

To Build relationships in Govt Ministry & Bureaucracy for the company to help facilitate positive engagement and influence in policymaking like in following areas

- Ministry of Commerce

- Ministry of Finance

- Ministry of Heavy industries

- Ministry of Road transport & Highways

- Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas

- PMO

Tasks:

- Build & Maintain a network of relationships within

Bureaucracy

Ministers

Quasi government bodies/institutions

- Be able to get appointments with key govt. officials for self and superiors in the company at short notice.

- Be able to get first hand and fast information of policies under drafting/announcement.

- Keep a record of relevant policies / rules & regulations / meetings/deliberations and communicate internally.

- Represent Company in various fora like Ministry/ Industry association/ CII meetings and present Company opinion with credibility and command.

- Understand the culture, environment and psychology of government policy makers at Ministry, Bureaucracy and operational levels.

- Understand the objectives and levers and way of thinking of govt. policy making

- Be able to build argument using facts/ data / statistics on policy making in line with Government policy objectives

- Be able to organize above data/statistics at short notice from relevant sources

- Be able to guide/manage a technical subordinate team member

Salary Range to be offered : 20 Lacs to 35 Lacs
