We are currently looking for an Sr. Manager Engineering- position with the topmost Foods and Beverages MNC in India. The position is to be based at Plant locations across India (Kolkata/ Bangalore/ Pune/Bihar/ UP

Candidate Profile :

B.Tech. – Mechanical / Production/ Electrical with 10-15 years of experience.Currently heading plant Plant Maintenance and Engineering function.

- Atleast 10+ years of experience in mainline FMCG/ Foods/Beverages/ Liquor categories

- Strategic thinking and ability to build strong partnerships

- Ability to collaborate with strong people management skills

- Manage ambiguity

- Excellent analytical abilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

PLANNING –

- Ensure that the spares & other materials are at optimum stock levels and are of required quality & make.

- Plan and raise indents and coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure that the materials are available on time.

- Set short & long term goals w.r.t maintenance & the projects to be undertaken.

- Leave taken to rotate key people with minimum leave carried forward and adequate cover for shutdowns and peak.

- Planning R & M budget

- Ensure maintenance planning process is effective and delivers optimum plant performance

OPTIMUM PROCESS PERFORMANCE

- Ensure collection of exact performance data, analyze for variances and to determine opportunities for improvement. Ensure multidisciplinary approval before implementation.

- Continuous improvement on key parameters, variable & fixed costs as agreed, on KRA’s

- Proactive participation in multidisciplinary meetings to determine opportunities for improvement.

- Control the expenditures of maintenance, utilities and ensuring they are within budget.

- Overtime: As budget or as adjusted for actual extra work done.

- Measure process performance and variable usage. Together with appropriate MEP action plans necessary to correct below standard situations. Measure and report on a weekly and monthly basis.

OPTIMUM PLANT AND EQUIPMENT AVAILABILITY

- Effective operation of Brew house, Cellars, CO2, Steam, Air, Refrigeration, Water, Boiler, DG, HT Yard and ETP to ensure that products are produced to the quality and cost requirements of the users and the standards set by the company.

- All equipment is analyzed for potential failures and appropriate maintenance tasks scheduled to prevent failure.

- Improvements to plant availability are identified and implemented. If capital investment is required this must be approved. Scope, cost and prepare justifications for approval

- All equipment is calibrated and maintained according to documented work instructions where applicable. Or suppliers recommendations.

- Ensure proper operation of utilities and brewing plants in terms of quality and plant operation.

- Regular condition monitoring of equipment is done to pre-empt failure. Oil analysis, Vibration alignment etc depending on availability of facilities.

- Purchasing, storage, usage and stockholding of maintenance materials and spares are monitored and controlled.

- Preparation & communication of weekly data so as to keep a track of the progress on a regular basis...

- Control the cost of maintenance against budget and refine budget to ease justification and control of these costs.

- Ensure availability and usage of right kind of tools by the artisans.

- Effective implementation of Asset Care. CAPITAL PROJECTS PLANNED AND COMPLETED

- Projects identified, thoroughly scoped and coasted, ROI justification done, and initiation for multidisciplinary approvals.

- Approved capital projects executed as per plan, timelines, and approved capes budget

- Overall responsibility for supervising new installations & commissioning and performance trails as per agreed document with supplier. Ensure adequate training has been provided by OEM on duly commissioner machines/equipments

- Project documentation must include process descriptions, operator procedures, asset register, maintenance schedules, P&ID, GA’s, electrical schematics, loop drawings, I/O layouts.

- To identify the projects that need to be contracted & sub contracted and also to identify the contractors.

- Tracking and maintaining adequate records for the projects

- Co-ordinate with Finance for capitalization of new projects

4. SAFE AND HEALTHY WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Conduct regular internal safety and housekeeping audits to identify unsafe or unhealthy conditions and items of statutory non compliance

- Take action to eliminate unsafe or unhealthy conditions and items of non compliance with the Factories Act.

- Equipment safety inspections are done and documented in appropriate registers according to Factories Act and general good working practices.

- Safe working procedures specific to plant are documented approved and users are trained in their use.

- Personal protective equipment is used and maintained in good working condition by employees. .

- Ensure work permit system maintained and recorded.

- A place for everything and everything in its place (i.e. 5”S”). Generally neat and tidy and free of dust and waste.

- See to it that the buildings and related accessories are maintained at the required standards.

- All statutory compliances are met. Maintain necessary records under the factories act, IBR act and other statutes; onsite emergency plan etc

- Convene safety committee meeting on monthly basis and discuss about unsafe work practices/hazards in the plant so as to take corrective action. Conduct safety audit at regular intervals DOCUMENTED WORK PRACTICES

- Effective & continuous equipment maintenance databank updated.

- Document and maintain all the registers & files for monitoring the departmental performance.

- Monitor that the work orders are being filled on a regular basis & the works been undertaken.

- Backup papers kept for all the projects undertaken & quotations raised.
