ROLE - Senior Manager - Data Analytics

ORGANIZATION - Largest Mortgage Solutions Provider in US

POSITION OVERVIEW:

- Reporting to the Director, Strategy & Analytics, the Sr. Manager, Data Analytics will be responsible for leading the data base management and data architecture to deliver actionable insights, analyses and recommendations that shape and inform the day-to-day business and long-term growth of the business, including our portal websites.

- Preferred candidates will have management experience in database management and data architecture in a consumer oriented online company, with a strong understanding of fundamental statistical methods and contemporary quantitative tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Lead a highly-effective cross-functional team of analysts, researchers, and data modelers to deliver business insights and outstanding results

- Responsible for data model for entire data warehouse, which includes identifying transactions and dimensions required from business perspective

- Design and development of data base schema

- Drive standards and design of physical data storage

- Manage project deliverables that focus on consumer decision-making models, customer segmentation strategy analyses, psychologically-optimized customer interactions, and experimental tests

- Work with internal and external resources/senior management to deliver data-driven insights about customer behavior, traffic patterns, revenue, conversion, navigation, and engagement

- Work with executive organization to evolve data management and advanced analytics intellectual capital

- Stay current on advanced data base management and analytics tools and trends.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

- Contribute to overall strategy development that identifies and packages consumer analytics technologies and services into solutions that are designed to meet various vertical market requirements.
Drive the continued evolution of the groups automated decision and negotiation packages

- Partner with marketing organization to develop impactful and insight driven marketing programs and online experiences

- Provide data driven insight to push the continued performance of the organization and increase revenue and profits

- Identify, collect and evaluate key performance indicators through the development of automated, analytics-driven reporting and dashboards

- Design and deployment of Data warehouse

- New technical features in the Product Core and maintenance of the Product Core in terms of meeting the performance benchmarks.

- Design and deploy SSRS, SSIS packages

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

- 7 - 10 years experience in a data base management and analytics role

- At least 5 years in database programming and design, preferable Oracle

- Data normalization and design, PS/SLQ and SSAS exposure

- 4+ years experience leading teams, communicating / presenting to executives and demonstrated ability to deliver results through advanced quantitative project methods

- Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics or other highly quantitative field, advanced degree and certifications preferred

- Expert knowledge of data base management and statistical modeling and analytics tools: expert SQL required, SAS, SPSS preferred, additional knowledge of web-based tools (e.g. WebTrends) and SQL Server certification, a plus

- Demonstrated expertise in advanced statistical techniques, management of large data and understanding of data quality metrics

- Great communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate data, context, and implications to business stakeholders and senior leaders

- Strong conceptual thinking and ideation skills; passion for brainstorming ideas, sketching concepts and connecting pieces to solve real consumer problems

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences
