SENIOR LEGAL MANAGER-- MUMBAI BASED FOR LEADING FMCG COMPANY

Functional Scope - Expert knowledge in Indirect tax matters, Import & Export Regulations

JOB DESCRIPTION

Qualifications and Experience Required: - Law Graduate with 8 to 12 years of experience with minimum 4 - 5 years of indirect tax related experience

Provide Legal support to Business in handling functions of Indirect tax matters, Import / Export Policy Regulations and to generally provide Legal support to manufacturing sites operations team.

- Partner with India legal team, in providing pro-active legal support and advice to the business

- Achieve strategic functional G&Os of the Law Department.

Functional Scope - Expert knowledge in Indirect tax matters, Import & Export Regulations.

- Knowledge on procedural aspects of availing credit on input tax and Services and guiding Ops team on following the right process.

- Respond to SCNs and other adjudication prodeddings with tax authorities..

- Ability to interact and deal with external Counsel supporting cases in Court of Law and before adjudicating authorities like CEGAT.

Advising and Supporting Ops team on tax matters relating to procurement,

Supply chain & distribution.

- Managing Portfolio of Litigation, including matters relating to Real Estate, Commercial, Consumer Complaint, Regulatory Authorities supervising manufacturing sites ( Factory Inspector and BMC )

- Effectively work with outside Counsel in Management of cases.

Qualifications and Experience Required: - Law Graduate with 8 to 12 years of experience with minimum 4 - 5 years of indirect tax related experience
