Main Purpose:
Responsible for delivering solutions and services to clients across the entire range of offerings particularly Process safety, Capital Effectiveness (Contractor/construction safety) and Sustainable Operations( Asset productivity, Maintenance & Reliability, Environment, Energy) and client base. This involves a series of non-routine, complex consulting projects, working with the client’s culture, assessing their needs, then creatively and flexibly adapting knowledge into consultative solutions, which inspire confidence and demand for additional services.
Major Accountabilities:
- A key member in the Sustainable Solutions team, led by the KAM/BDM and PM to devise client strategy, orchestrate interactions and develop the solution design and delivery plan.
- Independently lead client fulfillment on small to medium projects where a PM is not assigned or on work streams within larger projects.
- Independently lead analysis of client business challenges and develop comprehensive solutions to those challenges throughout the engagement life-cycle (pre-sale, delivery and follow-on selling). This includes quantitative analyses regarding injury sources, root causes, relationships among job functions, longevity, past injury history and current injury data.
- Analyze costs and associated benefits and build business case for client change.
- Self-manage work including recognizing what needs to be accomplished, planning sufficient time, dealing with multiple, competing priorities, and delivering to commitments set by PM / BDM.
- Independently lead work of others on engagements where a PM is not assigned.
- Develop compelling presentations and documents, at professional standards of excellence, for immediate client use in documenting and executing revised business processes.
- Lead client workshops in specific areas that include: establishing a safety culture, implementing safety management systems, process analysis, quantitative analysis, ergonomics, contractor safety and leadership, etc.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity to detect unarticulated needs and adapt consulting approach to satisfy each unique client situation.
- Engage with multiple clients, in various stages of delivery, simultaneously.
- Build and maintain client relationships so as to identify follow on sales opportunities
Skills & Knowledge:
- BS Engineering or similar degree, MBA preferred
- Experience in an external consulting role and/or DuPont experience in congruent areas preferred
- Management in a variety of industries considered including: light and heavy manufacturing, oil and gas, utilities, construction and transportation, petrochemicals, metals and mining, high hazards processes, PMC/EPC capital project organisations, Maintenance, Strategy consulting on sustainability.
- High intensity, highly adaptable with ability to tolerate ambiguous, unstructured environments; derive satisfaction from creating orderly environment
- Ability and willingness to sustain high intensity for extended periods (e.g., overnight turn-around).
