Job Description

- Management Consulting professionals focus on strategy and take responsibility for organizational change and business transformation. The India Management Consulting practice has traditionally been focused on providing consulting solutions to domestic clients.

- This practice is now being grown aggressively with a mandate to service clients in the overseas markets. The primary geographic focus for this role will be the overseas market.

- Finance & Performance Management (F&EP) is one of Management Consulting ’s Service Lines. F&PM professionals support clients in developing finance organization strategy around corporate finance, finance operations, enterprise performance management and risk management, development of new business insight allowing them to achieve long-term growth.

The F&EP practitioners support Clients with the following

- Finance Operations

- Planning and implementation of core back-office services, helping to increase operating efficiencies, improve services, streamline processes and drive cost reductions. Management Consulting ’s FO

- capabilities include Finance function strategy and transformation, Shared Services, Enabling technology implementation/transformation, SG&A Optimization

- Corporate Finance

- Functional and process assessment , design and implementation across Taxation, Trading, Finance function benchmarking and share holder value analysis

- F&EP

- F&EP Strategy, Planning , Budgeting and Forecasting, F&EP enabling technologies (Hyperion, Cognosetc) and Management reporting

- Risk Management

- Assessment and implementation across ERM, Credit risk, market risk, governance , compliance and regulatory frameworks

We work for large, high-profile clients and develop strong lasting relationships with them. On average, we have been maintaining client relationship on of 10 years.

Key responsibilities of the role may include:

- Leadership responsibilities: Focus on growing the practice by ensuring the right strategies and actions are in place. Achieve the target metrics on productivity, utilization, geographic penetration, head count growth, controlling attrition and high degree of engagement from the team and maintaining exception delivery quality

- Engagement Management: Manage engagement risk, project economics including planning and budgeting, manage account receivables, define deliverable content, ensure buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client/ client team

- Business Development: Work as part of a joint global sales team to identify and win potential opportunities.

- People Development: Performs role of counselor and coach, provides input and guidance into the firms staffing process, and actively participates in staff recruitment and retention activities.

- Domain Development: Development of assets and methodologies, development of point-of-view, research or white papers, support development of marketing collateral, public speaking and publication in industry periodicals.

Experience:

Specific experiences will include:

- Minimum 12 years of progressive functional and consulting experience.

- Proven track record of business development in a consulting firm

- Extensive experience within the Finance function of a firm

- Strong understanding of how business functions, finance functions and associated technology.

- Should be able to identify areas of growth and work towards developing the same.

- Understand the finances of projects and managed P&L’s.

- Preferably workedin the Resources, Financial services or Products industries

- Exposure to project management, people management, crisis management, etc.

- Worked in an international context servicing clients or worked internationally

- Experience working with “C” level executive clients

- Chartered Accountant or MBA from a Tier 1 B School

- Experience in a consulting firm is preferable.

- This individual must be comfortable working at the highest levels of client organizations and interacting closely with the “C” level executives in a range of environments

- The individual should be comfortable functioning in a broadly positioned and highly diverse consulting firm

- The individual should be comfortable with the Pre sales ,sales and delivery cycle in a global client engagement model

- The individual should possess an impressive executive demeanor, a team oriented and collaborative approach, and excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities

- The individual should have demonstrated entrepreneurial instinct with a strong understanding of operating and scaling a business.

- The individual should possess and demonstrate high integrity and credibility as perceived by all those with whom s/he will work

- The individual should have strong intellect coupled with proficient commercial instincts

- The individual should have high energy levels.

- The individual should be diplomatic, flexible, and have a good team approach.s
