Overview:
The position will join a world-class analytics environment to provide business insights and solutions, using data-analysis, statistical modelling, developing tools and processes. The role is for ‘Forecasting and Analytics’ team (within the business analytics unit of the firm.)
Brief about the Team:
Forecasting and Analytics team is works in Operations Analytics domain. It is 11 members team. It provides round-the-year inputs for demand planning (demand means investors’ interactions - calls, emails, chats, web) and ad-hoc data analysis (like impact assessment of campaigns, service model re-designing recommendation using optimization techniques, Sensitive event’s impact management, develop tool for scientific capacity planning, investors interaction behaviour analysis.) These outputs directly supports the firm's service centres in US in running efficiently.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Delivery:
- Build & maintain demand forecasting models for the products entrusted, and own the process;
- Apply statistical techniques and identify key business drivers & trends for accurate forecasting.
- Regular interaction with US partners on understanding business problems and providing analytical insights to make data-driven decision making;
- Analyze data to answer ‘why’ behind a trend and recommend informed capacity planning decisions.
Skill Set:
- Ability to take logical decision as forecasting needs both Art and Science approach
- Proficient in verbal and written communication
- Sound knowledge of Analytical techniques – ARIMA, Regression, Optimization
- SAS Knowledge and hands-on experience in Demand / Load Forecasting is preferable
Experience & Qualifications:
- Masters in Industrial Engineering / Operations Research / Statistics / Econometrics / Mathematics / MBA with quantitative courses from good institutes.
- 4-8 years of experience in Analytics industry, preferably in Operations analytics domain.
