Senior Analyst Business Modeling

- Urgently required Analytics professional for a Management Consulting Firm for its Data Analytics group which has a diverse pool of about 50 analysts with expertise in data mining, advanced statistical modeling and business modeling. They have extensive experience in various industry sectors such as telecom, retail, banking, pharma, auto and consumer durables.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- The Senior Analyst would spend his/her time working with Data Analytics group and consulting teams helping solve analytically complex client problems. He/she should have expertise in building spreadsheet models across different sectors and functional areas

Specifically, he/she will be expected to perform the following roles:

- Work directly with consulting teams in building business models

- Quickly understanding the business problem

- Acting as a thought partner to the consulting team and recommending suitable analyses

- Designing and developing an analytical solution (in MS Excel/Access/SQL/SAS/SPSS)

- Interpreting the results and arriving at insights

- Provide guidance and leadership to teams on analytics projects.

- Actively participate in building team's strategy on knowledge and capability development. Explore wider horizons both internally and externally to expand the service offerings of the team

- Enhance overall knowledge base in understanding different client systems and provide support to a wide range of teams on database management.

- Coach junior members on problem solving, communication, analytical techniques and general business concepts. Also, oversee them on their projects

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

- We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated both a strong business sense
and high logical and programming skills.

Essential skills:

- Good knowledge and experience of working in various business domains

- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

- Experience in building tools/models primarily using MS Excel and other tools like MS Access/ SQL/ SAS/ SPSS.

- Supervising, mentoring, training and management of analysts within the vteam

- In addition, candidates must also possess the following hallmarks of excellent problem solving skills, team skills, entrepreneurial ability, and strong communication skills:

- Good written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in both written and spoken English; prior experience in a multi-national environment desirable.

- Energetic, cooperative and pleasant personality. Able to work with and coach effectively a diverse group of team members

- Flexibility, patience, and an understanding of fluid, demanding, and unstructured environments where priorities evolve constantly and methodologies are regularly challenged.

- Ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines

EDUCATION & PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- MBA from tier 1 colleges with engineering background in

- Engineering/Mathematics (strong quantitative background).

- 3-6 years experience in working with business modeling

- Excellent working knowledge of Excel

- Knowledge of various analytical tools and techniques
