Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic individual to join our Founder's Office. This role is pivotal in helping the CEO make critical decisions regarding new investments, fundraising for our Series A and future rounds, and shaping long-term strategy. If you're someone who enjoys working in fast-paced environments, has a sharp analytical mind, and possesses a strong understanding of the sports industry or similar verticals, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Research: Identify, evaluate, and prioritize sports academies for potential investment. Conduct due diligence and market analysis to assess their financials, growth potential, and strategic fit with SFL.
- Fundraising Support: Work closely with the CEO to develop a strategy for raising funds for Series A and subsequent rounds. Prepare pitch decks, investor presentations, and financial models. Build relationships with potential investors and stakeholders.
- Strategic Planning: Assist in shaping the company's growth strategy by identifying key opportunities, partnerships, and industry trends. Provide insights and recommendations on scaling operations, expanding to new regions, or launching new services.
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Support financial planning, including creating detailed models for current and potential investments. Track and analyze key financial metrics to ensure the business stays on course for growth targets.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Work with various teams (operations, marketing, finance) to implement strategies that improve efficiency and maximize the impact of our investments.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on the latest trends, competitor moves, and innovations in the sports academy space. Provide regular reports and actionable insights to the leadership team.
Key Qualifications
- 4-6 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or a similar role with a focus on investments, fundraising, or strategy.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, business evaluation, and market analysis.
- Experience in raising capital or working on fundraising campaigns (experience with Series A and beyond is a plus).
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, identify growth opportunities, and deliver actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with investors, partners, and internal teams.
- Strong project management skills with an ability to work across functions and lead initiatives.
- Passion for the sports sector or experience in related fields is a significant advantage.
