Head- Business Development ( Retail Stores)
Head - Business Development - Retail Store identification and leasing.
- Identify locations for opening new stores for Specsmakers across Indian markets.
- Should have an eye for competition and also other retail and understand the market catchment requirement and potential.
- Source locations and properties for the brand and negotiate discussions with landlords for signing up the properties for the brand.
- Manage the entire paperwork from sourcing to leasing to completion of the store project and hand over to the operations team.
- Have a good experience in sourcing stores for retail businesses and also should have successfully managed to source and open more than 50+ stores in their career.
- Should be closely working with the franchising teams and source locations also for the franchisee signups.
Key Qualities :
- The ideal candidate should have had a good experience in sourcing properties for chain stores especially from 500-1000 Sqft
- Should have a good idea about retail catchment analysis in the city they operate.
- Should have a complete idea on the market potential and market rates for retail stores.
- Should be a very good negotiator and a person who can convince landlords and close deals.
- Should be a great team player and maintain great relationships with landlords and teams.
- Should have worked for retail brands especially chain store formats.
- Should be willing to travel the length and breath of the city and state.
- Should have the capacity to multitask and know the local language.
- Should have the ability to source local property consultants.
Responsibilities :
- Identify great locations as per company requirements.
- Map competition stores and create a market mapping scenario.
- Think critically when planning to assure project success
Qualifications :
- A very good go getter who has the flair for business development and should have done the same in the past.
- Should have executed expansion plans for retail businesses across geographies in india.
- Should have a great knowledge of the retail locations in each Metro and smaller towns.
- Prior industry related business development experience in the field of retail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies.
