RTR Accounting Specialist

Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job:

- Work closely with Supervisor, Business and RAC/Satellite Manager

- Ensure that accounting activities are in compliance with accounting law and regulations (GAAP/IFRS). Guide business if needed

- Guarantee that global financial policies are being applied. Communicate with relevant stakeholders

- Responsible for implementing improvements and global guidelines

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the execution of reliable, timely and complete specialist accounting tasks and activities as recorded in the Global Process Design and Standard Operating Procedures)

- Statutory reporting (responsible for consolidation and also complete financial statements preparation for external audit process)

- Provide quality assurance on Balance Sheet (BS), Profit & Loss (P&L) and specifications for the legal entity involved

- Review BS and P&L figures and variances on a monthly basis

- Review and potentially adjust specification (A-Forms)

- Perform and/or review statutory consolidated finance statements

- Prepare and perform monthly analysis to present to participating LE

- Responsible that all the month end closing dead-lines are met

- Make sure governance structure is applied; monitor adherence to internal controls incl authorizations

- Provide accounting technical guidance and assistance across the defined region and business regarding IFRS and local GAAP

- Monitor IFRS and local GAAP differences and prepare explanations for required audits and approvals

- Support (local) business (controller) in explaining, communicating and aligning with external and internal auditors

- Key user is responsible to ensure alignment with business ERP systems and IT processes (specific additional responsibility)
