About the Job:


We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Marketing Automation Lead/Architect to spearhead our end-to-end marketing automation initiatives using Marketo. This pivotal role will be responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and optimization of our marketing automation platform and its integration with various internal and external systems. You will collaborate closely with internal marketing, sales, and IT teams, as well as engage directly with clients to understand their business objectives and translate them into effective marketing automation solutions.


As a leader within the team, you will not only drive technical execution but also mentor junior team members, champion best practices, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality marketing automation campaigns and programs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our marketing effectiveness and contribute to the overall growth of the organization and our clients.


Key Responsibilities:


- End-to-End Marketing Automation Leadership: Take full ownership of the Marketo platform, leading the design, development, implementation, and ongoing management of marketing automation strategies and programs.


- Integration Design and Implementation: Architect and implement seamless integrations between Marketo and other critical business systems, including CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics 365), C# applications, and various third-party marketing and sales technologies. This includes data synchronization, API integrations, and custom connector development where necessary.


- Client and Internal Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal marketing teams, sales teams, IT departments, and external clients to understand their requirements, define solution strategies, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.


- Marketo Workflow and Campaign Optimization: Design, build, and optimize complex Marketo workflows, nurture campaigns, lead scoring models, email marketing programs, landing pages, and forms to drive engagement, generate leads, and improve conversion rates.


- Performance Measurement and Analysis: Define key performance indicators (KPIs), track campaign and program performance, analyze data, and provide actionable insights and recommendations for continuous optimization and improvement.


- Customization and Configuration: Configure and customize Marketo settings, objects, fields, and user roles to align with business needs and ensure data integrity and security.


- Best Practice Advocacy and Governance: Establish and enforce marketing automation best practices, data management standards, and compliance guidelines within the team and across the organization.


- Team Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor and guide junior marketing automation team members, providing technical expertise, training, and support to foster their growth and development.


- Documentation and Training: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Marketo processes, integrations, and configurations. Develop and deliver training sessions for internal teams and clients as needed.


- Staying Current with Industry Trends: Continuously stay updated on the latest Marketo features, marketing automation trends, and best practices to ensure our strategies remain innovative and effective.


Skills & Qualifications:


Experience:


- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience working with Marketo for Lead roles.


- Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience working with Marketo for Architect roles.


- Integration Expertise: Proven track record of designing and implementing complex integrations between Marketo and various systems, including CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics 365), C# applications, and third-party marketing technologies. Strong understanding of API concepts and data mapping.


- Client-Facing and Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and internal stakeholders.


- Marketo Proficiency: Deep understanding of Marketo functionalities, including campaign management, lead management, email marketing, landing pages, forms, reporting, and administration.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.


- Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


Education:


- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.


- A Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field is highly preferred.


- Marketo Certification: Marketo Certified Expert (MCE) certification is strongly preferred.
