Bullion/Precious Metals Operations Specialist


Roles & Responsibilities:

- Processing trade settlements:

- Currencies

- Precious Metals - Physical / Unallocated

- Daily & monthly reconciliations of external nostros / physical depositories

- Reconcile positions, cash balances, collaterals, margins with IIBX (India International Bullion Exchange)

- Oversee and manage the Demat accounts for bullion trading, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, account reconciliation, and compliance with relevant regulations.

- Monitor and track bullion inventory levels within Demat accounts. Coordinate with relevant teams to reconcile physical holdings with Demat account balances.

- Daily interaction with internal and external stakeholders

- Managing trade confirmations with market counterparts

- Monitoring daily cash / metal flows and managing funding requirements

- Intra-day trade / cash flow reconciliations

- Internal system reconciliations

- Follow and understand all internal procedures & comply with general principles of business

- Daily Invoicing: All exports/imports

- Coordinating with accounting department internally, and external third parties locally

- Shipment Log / manage out-turn adjustments.

- Filing of each physical shipment and managing logistics

- Liaising with the FO / BO Precious Metals team globally

- Provide support to other departments such as Payroll, Finance, and Compliance.

- Develop and maintain relationships with:

- Carriers

- Exchanges

- Third parties

- Ad hoc problem resolution as required.

Qualification and Skills:

- Previous experience in accounting, operations, or a related role within the bullion trading industry

- Degree level or equivalent education (preferred)

- Understanding of bullion trading operations, including trading processes, pricing mechanisms, quality standards, and logistics requirements.

- Good work ethic and ability to work effectively in order to meet deadlines

- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong communication skills (written and oral) and willingness to learn

- Effective planning, organisation and time management skills

- Commercial awareness

- Ability to work effectively in a team
