About our Client - Our client is one of the leading management consulting firm with global presence in more that 56 countries. They are looking for a seasoned analytics specialist with past experience in the marketing analytics space for its Analytics group based out of Chennai.

Job Description - Reporting in to the Head of Analytics, you will be responsible for:

- Working with Data Analytics group and consulting teams in helping solve analytically complex client problems with expertise in spreadsheet modeling (Scenario analysis, cash flow models, optimization, scheduling and planning).

Specifically, he/she will be expected to perform the following roles:

- Work directly with consulting team and clients in building business optimization/scenario models and tools in Excel VBA/Access; specifically,

- Generate insights and recommendations based upon the analysis

- Provide guidance and leadership to teams on analytics projects.

The Successful Candidate:

Knowledge & Skills Required:

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions.

- Strong programming skills in atleast one of the following - SQL Server, MS Access, Excel, VBA

- Strong project management skills and drive is essential.

- Education & Previous Experience Required Post-graduate OR Graduate degree from tier colleges in Computer Applications/Engineering/Mathematics/Operations research (with strong quantitative background).

- 7-8 years experience in working with programming on SQL Reporting Services 2005/2008, PL/SQL (Oracle/MySQL), and T-SQL (MS SQL server) or Excel VBA/ Access

- Previous work experience in building business algorithms/ scenario planners/ solving business problems using optimization techniques is preferred.

- Knowledge of SAS/ SPSS is good to have but not essential.
