Specialist - Buying & Sourcing - Hard Furniture Domain

We are currently hiring sourcing Merchandiser across various levels for a US based retailers. India liaison office Position is wasted Delhi for candidate with excellent experience in sourcing and buying for Harwoods category.

Job Responsibilities:

- Exhibits strong commitment and motivation to deliver results. Understands and aligns sourcing strategies with buying vision and strategy and responds to a changing market (e.g., new fashion and lifestyle trends, seasons, availability of appropriate merchandise and pricing/promotions).

- Supports buying activities, and guide or execute business plans and activities that will contribute to driving business results.

- Demonstrates knowledge of vendors and product opportunities in each market to drive the right product with the right vendors.

- Evaluates the market to recommend the best source for a particular product or category of products. Research new opportunities based on market trends.

- Initiates and streamlines timely communication to all necessary parties, escalating when needed.

- Demonstrates the ability to think like an entrepreneur by continuously searching for new business opportunities.

- Negotiates the best price for merchandise in conjunction with the buyers.

- Oversees and visit manufacturers, factories as required. Trouble shoots issues in a timely and accurate manner. Fairly and objectively assess each supplier's strengths and weaknesses to make the most rational decision towards business relations.

Job Requirements:

- Graduate with specialization preferably in Hard Home

- Minimum 5 to 10 years' solid experience in Hard Home of which at least 6 years' experience in buying office, agent, or well-known retailer catering to U.S. Market.

- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation and time management skills.

- Willing and able to frequently travel to explore new opportunities
