Overall experience; Prefer Sales oriented work experience in a BFSI set up; Should have experience of leading large teams, Microfinance exposure is a plus  Work Locations : Maharastra, Kerala, Karnataka  Accountability :   - Participates in the creation of organization level business plans and budgets so as to provide the operations perspective to the same. Participates in all kinds of strategic decision making in the organization.  - Develops department level vision, goals, objectives and budget so as to best support achievement of the overall organization vision . Monitors performance versus budget so as to ensure cost effective implementation of the department plans (By Q4).  - Ensures creation of department level manuals, work processes and facilitates uniform understanding and implementation of the same across the department and organization so as to create a more structured work environment for the team  - Monitors business progress versus plan so as to ensure successful achievement of various targets  - Acts as the thought leader for the operations department aiming to develop a culture of continuous improvement  - Responsible for recruitment, retention, skill development, growth and satisfaction of team  Key Activities :  - Works with other CXO level people to ensure creation of the overall organization business plan and budgets  - Takes inputs from ZM's in creation of the same  - Understands the overall organization vision / goals for the year and the role this department needs to play in its achievement  - Prepares the goals/objectives and budget for the organization by taking inputs from seniors and juniors, internally and externally  - Roll out this plan with the department and obtain their buy-in  - Monitors budgets and highlights variances (if any)  - Creates processes for regular reporting (meetings, periodicity, agenda, attendees) and facilitates the development of the relevant reporting formats and mediums (Hard copy, excel, PPT, email etc.)  - Collates inputs from internal and external sources to create a framework for the relevant manuals  - Subsequently provides guidance and inputs to the department for developing the manual (in consonance with training) and ensures that they are in sync with senior management expectations - in sync with what the organization seeks to achieve and project  - Ensures that the roles, work processes and relevant formats are ready and in agreement with each other  - Acts as the primary direction provider for the department as well as the final troubleshooter for operational(business and employee) level issues  - Meets Zonal Managers as per schedule to monitor achievement versus target, staff concerns and issues,   - Ensures meeting of all cross functional support that is required by the department to meet their goals - Treasury (Ensure flow of fund), HR (Recruitment, Exit, Performance Mgmt),MIS (Regular data updates), Legal (Resolve local issues) etc  - Conducts random field visits to verify on ground realities (15-20% time) and solve urgent crisis issues  - Liaisons with relevant local government authorities to promote the organizations cause and help resolve local issues (specially community based ones)  - Keeps abreast of the trends in the sector and activities of competition in the sector through regular updates from field, external forums like summits/conferences and generally available public information  - Ensures leveraging of best practices (Product related, process related etc.) into the organization so as to keep improving efficiencies at work  - Creates department specific programs (in consonance with HR) to improve employee morale and commitment  - Creates a recruitment plan for the department, ensures it is included in the overall Recruitment plan with HR; liaises with HR to ensure recruitment happens as per plan   - Ensures appropriate training and development interventions  - Conducts timely and transparent appraisals  - Conducts monthly 1:1s with direct reports  - Actively manages vertical and horizontal career development of team   - Conducts semi-annual skip level 1:1s with all indirect reports  - Weekly Update meeting with VP  - Quarterly review meeting for all HODs / ZMs  Key interactions (Internal & External) :  Senior Management, HOD- s, External forums, HR
