Position Description

Position Title: Senior Manager, Application Development

The Role:

As a senior manager, you will be a leader and team player working in support and manage enterprise systems with highly skilled people. You will be able to lead the charge and manage easy, repeatable solutions with systems and people.

The key responsibilities are:

- Manage the functional / technical teams and overall delivery for Day2 support and application development for Financial and Order To Cash Systems - Oracle E-Business Suite, Zuora, Zuora for Salesforce

- Lead an agile software development team to design, develop and test software and systems using a variety of technologies and platforms, including Salesforce, Zuora and Oracle E-Business Suite to meet the business needs

- Manage project teams through design, development, testing, and deployment

- Manage developer capacity, roadblocks and resource constraints against delivery milestones in a completely transparent environment and communicate progress to the US team

- Oversee multiple development projects through the full lifecycle, from conceptual/definition stages to production delivery and ongoing operations

- Deliver technology roadmaps as agreed with internal stakeholders, ensuring high code quality, value to customers, and reliable production operations

- Assess risks, identify and communicate solutions proactively

- Drive the team to success in delivering scalable, secure, reliable code within budget and timelines

- Ability and willingness to be hands on with development when needed to meet timelines.

- Take appropriate action to ensure the software engineering organization adheres to audit, compliance and software development best practices.

- Establish software quality metrics and development productivity metrics

- Establish performance objectives and provide performance reviews against objectives for team members

- Participate actively in process enhancement and software development practice improvement

Requirements:

- 12-15 years experience managing applications development teams in large scale enterprise environments supporting Financial Systems

- Experience in Financial Services industry is a plus

- Experience with Financial / Order To Cash enterprise applications is a plus

- Extensive experience with application development, capability planning, and alignment to Global Technology's strategy

- Deep understanding of the relationship between application design, data and infrastructure environments

- Expertise in technology applicability to Enterprise Systems business partners

- Use of logic, negotiation and facilitation to build consensus, alignment and direction is critical

- Extensive experience with application development, capability planning, and alignment of IT to corporate and business unit strategy.

- Must be able to lead user requirements gathering workshops for projects, identify both functional and technical requirements and design best applicable business solutions that meet the user requirements.

- Deep understanding of the relationship between application design, data and infrastructure environments.

- Expertise in large-scale enterprise system development, support and integration

- Experience in standing up new processes and supporting an environment of continuous improvement

- Ability to create metrics, dashboards and tools to monitor and manage the systems and people is plus

- Ability to articulate technical issues in business terms and vice-versa

- Bachelor's in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related degree program, or equivalent experience; Advanced degree preferred
