Purpose of the role:
Responsible for contributing to a high performing, flexible and cost effective direct sourcing team.
Drive direct sourcing and attraction for a specific business/functional area within Resourcing facilitating a reduction in the use of 3rd party suppliers and maximising cost avoidance.
Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement initiatives across the direct sourcing process and drive implementation where appropriate.
Provide market intelligence for business area to shape resourcing strategies as appropriate.
Raise bench strength of key roles within business area by creating pipelines of relevant candidates.
Build, maintain and leverage effective relationships with a wide network of contacts within the company Sand the external market to maintain a pool / pipeline of prospective hires.
Support the design and implementation of best practice policies for dealing with external candidates, resulting in an enhanced candidate experience.
Utilise MI and analysis as required to inform direct sourcing decisions and continuously improve delivery.
Deliverables:
Support the delivery of the overall direct sourcing strategy and associated delivery and engagement for specific business/functional area.
Build strong business knowledge in order to provide comprehensive briefings to candidates.
Provision of first class candidate experience, ensuring candidate has all relevant information and is regularly updated.
Delivery against scorecard metrics and standards.
Delivery of the correct number of suitable candidates within agreed timeframes through appropriate use of resources and skills.
Identification of business / resourcing issues and trends that will impact on the supported business area and sharing of that knowledge.
Hold overview of demand and resourcing activity for specific business area with a view to:
Inform prioritisation debates
Prevent duplication and maximise synergies
Share best practice and knowledge
Develop and manage strong sustainable relationships with key stakeholders.
Provide up to date resourcing market knowledge to inform innovative solutions and activities
Experience:
Direct sourcing professional with a strong track record of successful delivery in sourcing candidates through non-agency channels.
Good working knowledge of LinkedIn and Job portals
Effective utilisation of Boolean search techniques
Experience of hiring in multi-disciplined organisations over multi-sites.
Strong candidate management skills.
Effective time management - able to balance a number of conflicting priorities.
Experience of stakeholder management.
Working knowledge of recruitment market dynamics.
Development and maintenance of external knowledge / networks.
Understanding and practical application of a variety of selection methods.
Employment law related to recruitment and resourcing activity.
Data Protection Act - working, practical application.
Desirable:
Search/market mapping experience.
Experience in dealing with sophisticated candidate management systems
Other Significant Role Requirements:
Build and develop excellent working relationships with key stakeholders to develop a thorough understanding of business areas and plans to identify direct sourcing requirements.
Influence and relationship manage internally to ensure maximum efficiency within the team.
Develop effective internal and external network of key contacts, attend relevant industry events and build Our Financial Client's profile.
Support the continuous improvement (CI) culture and proactively seek feedback to ensure a successful climate of CI exists.
Active member of the Resourcing team working collaboratively to drive wider direct sourcing / resourcing / talent agenda across company
Act as a recognised expert within company's direct sourcing.
Technical Knowledge:
Direct sourcing knowledge.
LinkedIn expert.
Knowledge of CV mining databases.
Ability to deliver direct sourcing strategy and gain resourcing consultant/business buy-in.
Boolean search techniques
Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure, delivery focused environment.
Knowledge of legislative requirements - related to recruitment and resourcing activity.
Knowledge of cost-effective sourcing strategies to generate candidate pipelines.
