Soprano - Engineering Manager

Responsibilities :

- Managing a full stack team of back end and front end engineers

- Partnering with Product Management and Design to lead feature execution across engineering disciplines to deliver great experiences

- Providing oversight, accountability, and leadership for technical decisions with a bias for action

- Build an environment that insists on meeting expectations, and delivering value

- Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Operations, and other delivery teams to ensure effective launch and delivery of projects to satisfy business needs

- Implement and monitor technical strategy performance metrics

- Communicate engineer team goals with engineering staff members

- Be a mentor, technical leader, and thought leader for a talented team of both front end and back end engineers, challenging them and helping them grow

Must-Have Skills :

- B.S/B.E./B. Tech. in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree

- Experience in managing people and projects

- Experience in design and development of software systems

- 6+ years of software engineering experience building back-end & server/service applications

- Experience in server-side technology and strong coding skills in NodeJS

- Has breadth of knowledge across the stack of web technologies - AWS, Micro-services, data stores such as MongoDB/DynamoDB

- Goes above and beyond to create high-quality, stable products that customers enjoy using

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment
