Job Summary:
- The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote Sonet Microsystems' products and services, build brand equity, and drive revenue growth.
- This role involves overseeing all aspects of marketing, including digital marketing, content creation, brand management, and strategic partnerships.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B marketing, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the technology sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to support Sonet Microsystems' business objectives, focusing on lead generation, brand visibility, and customer engagement.
- Identify and capitalize on market trends, competitive positioning, and customer needs to drive marketing initiatives that support the company's sales and growth targets.
- Establish annual marketing plans, budget allocation, and KPIs aligned with company goals.
Brand Management:
- Lead the development, positioning, and execution of Sonet Microsystems' brand strategy to ensure consistency across all marketing channels.
- Ensure brand messaging and visual identity are consistent across all materials, both online and offline.
- Work closely with the leadership team to ensure that the company's vision, values, and mission are reflected in all marketing activities.
Digital Marketing Leadership:
- Oversee and manage digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing.
- Drive online presence through social media, paid media, organic traffic, and website optimization.
- Monitor and analyze digital marketing performance metrics, optimizing campaigns to ensure maximum ROI.
- Develop and manage online lead generation strategies and nurture leads through the sales funnel.
Content Creation & Marketing:
- Develop and oversee the creation of compelling content, including blogs, whitepapers, case studies, videos, and webinars, tailored to target audience needs and interests.
- Ensure content aligns with the overall marketing strategy and brand voice, and is optimized for SEO.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and sales teams to create content that educates prospects and supports the sales process.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
- Provide actionable insights into market segmentation, competitive advantages, and emerging opportunities.
- Develop and refine customer personas and identify high-value prospects to support sales teams in targeting the right audience.
Campaign Management:
- Lead end-to-end marketing campaigns, from planning to execution, aimed at driving lead generation, increasing product adoption, and enhancing customer loyalty.
- Manage marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and sales enablement platforms to improve campaign effectiveness.
- Evaluate campaign performance and deliver insights and recommendations to optimize marketing efforts.
Sales and Marketing Alignment:
- Work closely with the sales team to align marketing campaigns with sales goals, ensuring that lead generation and marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) are properly handed off to the sales team.
- Collaborate with the sales team on account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives, ensuring messaging and outreach strategies are tailored to the needs of key clients.
- Provide the sales team with sales enablement tools, presentations, and other materials to help convert leads into clients.
Event Planning & Coordination:
- Plan and execute industry events, webinars, conferences, and trade shows to build brand awareness, generate leads, and network with key stakeholders.
- Manage event budgets, vendor relationships, and logistics to ensure successful execution.
- Ensure post-event follow-up and analysis to measure ROI and capture leads.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear goals, and provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure team members' professional growth.
- Manage external agencies, consultants, and vendors, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Track, analyze, and report on the performance of all marketing activities, including digital campaigns, content performance, and lead generation.
- Use data and insights to adjust strategies, optimize campaigns, and improve marketing effectiveness.
- Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management on the success of marketing initiatives and return on investment (ROI).
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Master's degree (MBA) in Marketing is a plus.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on B2B marketing, digital marketing, and content creation, ideally in the technology, IT, or SaaS sector.
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional marketing teams, campaigns, and projects.
- Strong background in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive business growth.
- Demonstrated success in lead generation, brand awareness, and customer acquisition campaigns.
Skills:
- Expertise in digital marketing channels such as SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and PPC.
- Strong knowledge of marketing automation tools, CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce), and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc.
