- Solutions Delivery Manager - NDC
- Be the single owner and point of accountability for end-to-end delivery of the assigned business IT project, ensuring effective planning and execution of all project lifecycle activities including (but not limited to) integrated business-IT project plan creation and maintenance, requirements gathering, solution definition, systems integration across all internal and external suppliers, risks and issues management, testing, production handover, resource utilization/time management, business change activities, stakeholder management and project communications.
- Ensure successful (on time, on budget) delivery of assigned business IT projects through coordination with all involved parties including business stakeholders, other IT and Group departments, and external suppliers (including - off the shelf' system suppliers, service providers, offshore providers).
- Be responsible for evaluating internal and external solutions and service providers to enable delivery of the most optimal IT solutions to the relevant Group business unit(s), ensuring solutions proposed, designed and implemented not only meet the business strategies and requirements but are the right solutions, integrating the relevant external products and services, internal applications, and custom development (internal or external).
- Perform a continuous assessment of risks and issues on assigned business IT projects and address/mitigate them to minimize impact, ensure solutions are delivered within the agreed parameters and achieve the agreed benefits. Address major 'show stopper' risks and issues through timely and accurate reporting and senior management engagement, instigating re-planning, recovery or termination of business IT projects where necessary.
- Be responsible for financial management of the assigned business IT projects and ensure all costs incurred are effectively tracked and accurately reported to project stakeholders. Ensure all assigned business IT projects are underpinned by tangible business cases and that the value of the solutions delivered is evident.
- Ensure solution testing follows a methodical approach and is coordinated with all relevant parties to ensure it is performed at all appropriate stages of the project and is conducted comprehensively, and that testing results are properly approved.
- Drive business benefits realisation and return on IT investment by ensuring all aspects of business change and transformation relating to assigned business IT projects are effectively identified, planned and managed by or on behalf of the relevant business units throughout the lifecycle of solution delivery.
- Where external suppliers are used, provide expertise in negotiating appropriate contract terms/reviewing contracts before signature to ensure supplier deliverables and commitments are comprehensively detailed, the risks inherent with different types of engagement/delivery models are addressed, and proper protection is provided for the Group.
- Provide fair, accurate and timely feedback to line management on the performance of resources assigned to the project. Effectively manage, coach, utilize and support assigned project resources to deliver to the best of their ability on time, budget and scope.
- Contribute to the improvement of the service line's solution delivery practices, procedures, methodologies and tools through identification of and participation in improvement initiatives.
