Solution Architect - Technology

Responsibilities:

- Lead Upfront discovery and design end to end technology architecture

- Actively lead the definition and evolution of the solution architecture. Create a Service Oriented Architecture

- Oversee selection / implementation of new technology solutions

- Identify and ensure all integration touch points of the applications are secure

- Enhance architecture / governance processes and drive agile innovation with an eye to scale.

- Ensure the business outcomes and business values are delivered by ensuring right digital solutions applied, designed, delivered and implemented

- Leading the technical design process coordinating the various stakeholders towards an agreed solution.

- Be the point of contact for all architecture aspects of an IT Project

- Be able to address and integrate the: Business Process, Data, Application, Technical and Information Security aspects of an IT Solution

- Ensure projects solution architecture is documented using the relevant templates & tools

- Reviewing and accepting the detailed design of an IT solution

- Assess vulnerability of technology and identify / implement remediation actions as necessary

- Follow IT Technology developments in the market and leverage this knowledge in architecting solutions. Ensure solutions are 'future-proof'.

- Architect innovative solutions on/across cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, other private/public PaaS/SaaS platforms

- Determine the availability and viability of third-party components and services as needed

- Develop and demonstrate proof of concepts

- Act as a conduit between execs and stakeholders to ensure the technology initiatives are appropriately prioritized and aligned with strategic objectives.

- Drive the successful delivery of Digital programs within the Digital portfolio

Requirements:

- 12 to 15 years in digital and IT with 3+ years of (business-focused) digital and IT stakeholder management experience

- Previous working Solution architecture experience

- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum Software Development methodologies. Knowledge of project management tools like Jira, Basecamp, MS Projects etc.

- Cloud (AWS and Azure) knowledge, Open source technologies, Platform mindset, Data and Analytics platform, API-based integration architecture, CNCF landscape/Cloud native architecture preferred

- Experience at producing multi-tier, high-availability infrastructure architectures in an enterprise & cloud environment adhering to DR, Business Continuity and availability best practices.

- Hands-on Experience with designing and working with API Management/Gateway and Cloud technologies (PaaS, Serverless, Container orchestration)

- Experience in designing API led architecture, Microservices based architecture

- Ability to quickly understand business requirements and propose reference architectures and technology solutions. Capable to present options and weigh implementation complexities and risks to recommend the right technical decision

- Ability to work in virtual teams, across time, geographical, and cultural boundaries

- Retail domain knowledge would an added advantage
