Solution Architect - Storage

We have a leadership opportunity for Solution Architect - Storage with one of our client for Mumbai location.

Job Description:

1. Storage area networking technologies: SAN, SAN services (security, virtualization), SAN extension, Cisco MDS-series SAN switches

2. Relevant experience with large-scale SAN/NAS design, implementation, operations, performance

3. Solid technical, functional and architectural understanding of the storage technology domain

4. Must be well-versed with at least two of the following vendor's products: EMC, Hitachi, NetApp, HP (3PAR), IBM (DS / V7000) from a design, deployment and management angle

5. Software define storage on commodity hardware, VMware VSAN, EMC ViPR, EMC vVNX, etc

6. Must have good technical exposure to at least two of the following backup solutions: Commvault, Symantec NetBackup, HP DP, IBM TSM

7. Strong understanding of the Data Protection (Back-up, Recovery, DR, Data Archival & Retention) for application workloads such as VMware, Hyper-V, Oracle, MS SQL, SAP, etc.

8. Relevant experience in large-scale Enterprise business continuity solutions, backup/restore strategies and automation.

9. Hands-on experience on Enterprise Back-up & Recovery software consulting, design/architect and deployment of end-end data management workflow is must and should have worked on On-premises, Cloud & Hybrid architecture models.

10. Responsible for developing solutions on migration and transformation related to Information in response to RFPs and RFIs. Participate in review of RFXs and participate in project cost estimations.

11. Experience in architecting solutions for medium and large size compute + storage environment. Private, Public and Hybrid Cloud (VMWare, Azure, AWS, OpenStack etc.)

12. Experience in Storage consolidation, migration and capacity planning

13. Create a detailed solution architecture, perform data modelling and integration architecture; should be able to train team members on architecture process and tools/techniques

14. Should have good consulting, presentation and communication skills Should have good ability to learn, adapt and propagate knowledge on evolving technologies

15. Perform landscape assessments of customer environments and identify improvement opportunities

16. Lead large scale migrations and transformation projects

17. Strong passion for technology exploration and development
