Solution Architect - Network Planning

Job Description :

- Telecom Solution Architect Network Planning will be responsible for managing and developing a solution, network design for ISP/TSP, test strategies, test plans.

- The role will require hands on technical management as well as people management, which includes day to day management of resources, tracking and reporting progress of the teams in various cross-functional meetings, co-coordinating activities between teams, also responsible for following :

- Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements

- Prepare training, design, documentation and delivery efforts

- Prepare process flow analysis and integration design

- Participate and lead, when needed, the project meetings with the customer and with product manager

- Participate in internal projects design as and when required

Skills :

- Rich experience in leading team efforts of tactical planning of internet networks, network capacity planning & re-engineering assets to support anticipating loading

- Strong experience in having end-to-end designed the architecture for telecom operator, using Optical Transmission Technology, IPMPLS Technology, Wireline (XGPON/DSL) & Wireless (2G/3G/4G/ Wi-Fi) access Technology

- Must have designed & delivered at least 2 end-to-end solutions for ISP/TSP operator using transmission, core, and access equipment

- Optical Transport DWDM & SDH Planning, Engineering & implementation ( NLD, ILD, and Metro)

- Backbone, Resiliency, connectivity Route Planning & Architecture

- Traffic analysis, Capacity Planning, and finalization of SDH and DWDM Backbone Architecture for Optical Transport Networks

- Planning and Engineering for Transport roll outs and high-value enterprise and carrier customer solutions

- Understanding of TCP/IP and QOS in the LAN, WAN, and WLAN

- An understanding of LAN (Layer2) and WAN (Layer3) networking protocols and technologies, including switching, routing, and security.

- Knowledge of IPv4, IPv6, eBGP, MPLS, ISIS, multicast, CDN caching, flow data, analysis & reporting

- Aware of standard Network best practices and integration of all tools.

- Experience in HFC/Fiber Optics OSP Network Planning and Designs.

- Strong Knowledge in Telecom Network Topologies in FTTx, EPON, GPON, GEPON, and DOCSIS

- Knowledge in 2G/3G/4G/LTE network integration/network Planning & Optimization.

- Induction of new technology and new products in the network: Selection of new Technology, Evaluation, and Product Selection -Comparison of features and issue of Technical Recommendations

- Ability to interact effectively with peers and customers is required

Requirements :

- 15+ years hands on experience of which major portion should preferably be with a TSP.

- Should have led a mid-sized and large sized team for 5-7 years

- B.Tech / M.Tech in electronics & communications or related streams

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- To be able to grasp the larger picture and communicate with the management/prospects / customers accordingly.

- Self-motivated and organized.

- Ability to multitask and strictly adhere to delivering with in timelines.
