Solution Architect - Internet of Things - Telecom

Role purpose:

IOT is driving the Internet of Things (IoT) by connecting machines, devices and objects to the internet, turning them into - intelligent' assets that communicate with the world around them. M2M solutions open up a new range of possibilities for our customers revolutionizing how they operate, how they grow and how they keep their customers happy.

The M2M Solution Architect will act as a technical consultant to design and implement enterprise Customer's solution coordinating and supervising concept to delivery of innovative M2M solutions and supporting evolution of technology.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

Understands M2M solution requirements and converts them into solution design specifications

- Must able to Create End to End architecture of the solution that takes care of non functional requirements - availability, reliability, scalability, performance etc

- Support the sales teams in responding to RFI/RFPs by working with the M2M practice and business verticals SMEs

- Work closely in creating and implementing joint go to market programs in the M2M markets with an ecosystem of device vendors, platform partners and application integration.

- Define framework & Guidelines to improve current processes and increase awareness in the market place to replicate similar solution across larger customer base.

Key performance indicators:

Consulting on all technical aspects within end to end M2M & mobility solution especially at Partners / Customer level

- Proactively support the Customer, Sales, Service and internal teams on technical related matters including bids, proposals, Presentations, RFP/RFQ, customer complaint resolution and suggested product improvements

- Create partner ecosystem for nonstandard requirement and prepare documentation & training guides

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

Proven technical & sales experience encompassing design and development of M2M, connected products and mobility solutions.

- Knowledge of GSM, GPRS, EDGE, HSPA, LTE, 3GPP standards and mobile network components (GGSN, SGSN, MSC,HLR/CSDB, DNS, RADIUS, Diameter, SMSC)-their function and integration points.

- Ability to create partner eco-system and support bespoke requirements.

- Excellent communication skills including verbal, presentation, email and social interaction.

- Customer relationship management skills with ability to interact comfortably at Clevel.

Must-have technical / professional qualifications:

- Extensive experience of M2M technology and services

- Good understanding of mobile communication and IP technologies

- 10+ years of experiences in mobile services or related field in Technical role

- An intimate understanding of the M2M & mobility marketplace, players and trends

- A holistic view of how M2M connectivity fits into customers- overall business processes and market offers
