Solution Architect - Insurance

BILLING SOLUTION ARCHITECT: 

Job Overview :

The Solution Architect will be responsible for:

- Design solutions for the project that enable customer to meet their process/business goals

- Leading the requirement session with client.

- Development of solution architecture and design across a set of applications or application/product family within an enterprise.

Duties and Responsibilities : 

- Development of solution architecture and design across a set of applications or application/product family within an enterprise.

- Enable customer to fulfil the stated project objectives

- Lead solution of the product implementation

- Support execution of project from solution perspective and technology perspective

- Prepare and Review estimations

- Support pre-sales

- Support QC

Skills / Attributes Required:

Essential:

- Strong P&C Insurance domain knowledge in North American/Indian/Asia Pacific/UK market

- Experience in UML based analysis and design using tools e.g. Rational Rose & Together J

- Experience in setting up business rules and workflow engines

- Design & Development experience with object oriented programming in JAVA technology stack

- Experience in both high level as well as low level design

- Should have conducted requirements sessions understanding customer's business processes

- Understand and use frameworks to design and review solutions for functional and non-functional requirements

- Leading a team of software specialists / engineers for the creation / implementation of solution architecture for a product/application

- Experience in any database with clear understanding of RDBMS concepts

Desirable:

- Experience in performance tuning of product/application

- Exposure to design frameworks

- Exposure to automation tools

Functional Skills:

- Understand the principles of accounting or commerce or finance

Other skills:

- Managing a team of 10-12 resources

- Good communication as there would be a need to work closely with the customers

- Ready to travel onsite for 2-3 months duration

- Experience in Estimation methodologies
