Description

Role : Architect

Purpose : Defines solutions architecture for the assigned projects in alignment with the target architecture and strategy. And ensures that project designs are in alignment with the defined Solutions Architecture.

Functions

- Create Logical and Conceptual Architecture

- Has in depth of technical/functional knowledge in one or more technology (preferably Java, MF, Data/BI) and applications/systems with breadth of knowledge of the overall Business technical and functional spectrum (preferably Corporate or Insurance or Investments).

Provides techno functional leadership to the project team

- Partners with business analysts, systems analysts, PO's and engineers in requirements gathering and reviews. Mentoring of designers on design and architecture. Responsible for grooming of designers into SA role.

- Maintain morale, both within the architecture group, and externally as well. The latter is done by providing a sound design, when needed, and providing good presentations and materials to let everyone know the organization is on the right track.

- Bring Industry wide best practices and understand external technology trends. Should be able to relate those trends to the workplace

- Completely owns the technical solution - suggest options and provide recommendations.

Review the architecture with the team of architects and make necessary architecture corrections. Take the architecture to the required stakeholders . Resolve disputes and make tradeoffs

- Identify and interact with Delivery and necessary Business stakeholders to make sure their needs are being met (Present Solution to the Delivery and Business stakeholders)

- Responsible for analyzing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve business objectives. Works with enterprise architecture, application and infrastructure teams to produce an optimal, high level, conceptual design for the project.

- Assistance in Critical/ Architecturally significant components

- Be a strong proponent of Architecture practice and conducting roadshows (or other Sessions) to demonstrate it.

- Viewed as a technical expert and critical resource across multiple disciplines Ability to adapt in a variety of business areas and architecture domains and move easily from one to another.

- In case of Data focus (in addition to above mentioned points), should have deep understanding of Data architecture, data flows and patterns, data management and modeling practices and tools

Qualifications

Education : Graduate - Bachelor's degree (any stream)

Experience : Typically 12+ years of IT experience in development and designing of large applications/systems

5+ years of architect experience is required
