Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Procurement to lead our procurement function across India. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise from large EPC projects, FMCG, MNC, or Solar industry environments and will be responsible for building a scalable, tech-driven, cost-efficient, and resilient supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Procurement Leadership: Define and implement the overall procurement strategy aligned with business goals-covering direct and indirect materials, services, and capex.

- Vendor Development & Management: Build and manage a high-quality, reliable, and scalable supplier network. Drive vendor evaluation, negotiation, and long-term partnerships.

- Cost Optimization & Value Engineering: Lead cost-saving initiatives through negotiation, alternate sourcing, product standardization, and process automation.

- Operational Excellence: Ensure on-time material availability for project sites across India while minimizing working capital. Drive digitization and automation across procurement workflows.

- Team Building & Leadership: Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing procurement team pan-India.

- Contracting & Compliance: Drive strong contracting practices. Ensure full compliance with statutory, legal, ESG, and company policies.

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Product teams to support innovation, timelines, and cost-efficiency.

Requirements:

Experience:

- 12-18 years of experience in leading procurement functions in large EPC, FMCG, MNCs, or solar companies.

- Proven track record of handling annual procurement budgets of - 500+ Cr preferred.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain. MBA preferred.

Skills:

- Strong negotiation and commercial skills

- Familiarity with digital procurement systems (Dynamics, SAP, Zoho, Coupa, etc.)

- Data-driven decision-making

- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management
