We are currently seeking a Manager of Software Development to join our client's Technology Development Leadership team.

Experience: 8 -12 years

Location: Gurgaon

What You'll Do:

The Development Manager will leverage experience and industry knowledge to lead a highly talented team of professionals in day to day duties, applications development, and project management. While handling the full life cycle of development, he/she will also collaborate with various departments in requirements gathering, project plan and timeline definition, and life cycle management strategies.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced software development manager. The successful candidate should have experience in a range of technologies (MS technologies / SharePoint / Java technology is preferred ) and a strong understanding of enterprise business specific knowledge. Our ideal candidate will have significant experience managing the successful design, development, and delivery of software applications and providing subject matter expertise and technical leadership on software development practices. Strong communication and project management skills are an absolute necessity as the primary focus for our Manager of Development will be acting as a true leader to our team of developers; setting expectations, driving performance, and improving our development processes.

Here's a closer look at some of your primary responsibilities:

- Ensure successful delivery of and oversee all phases of development for existing and new applications, from planning and design to development, deployment and ongoing maintenance.

- Estimate and manage complex development projects, managing to establish deliverables and delivering projects on time and at the highest level of quality.

- Provide leadership in implementing industry best practices for software development and enforce application development design, coding, deployment, and documentation standards.

- Hire, mentor, and support technical staff, including performance management and career direction.

- Create recommendations for departmental policies, procedures, technical standard and guidelines that are in line with the technology development department.

- Ensure the team is constantly exposed to and trained on new application and development methodology systems and processes.

You Have:

- Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle and leading software teams.

- Familiarity with any of the technologies; such as MS technologies / SharePoint / Java technology is preferred

- Effective skills to estimate, plan, and assign work.

- Must understand end to end business process and look at things holistically.

- Align technology to business strategy, and proactively drive technical direction throughout the organization.

- Must be able to quickly assess and react to changing circumstances and new information.

- Scrum Master is a plus, but not required.
