We are looking for an exceptional and highly motivated Software Development Manager with previous experience in dealing with complex software products to lead the architecture definition of our software offerings in e-Commerce Domain.

Client's Global Payment Systems (GPS) is seeking a very strong technical leader to manage and grow our engineering organization.

Development Manager:

The development manager is responsible for leading a team of software engineers in the design, development, unit testing, and implementation of technology related products.Client's Payment has established product line and customer base and is currently enhancing and developing its product line which dramatically enhances its offering in the marketplace. As a senior leader in the business, the successful candidate will work closely with Management, Customers, QA, Design, Partner Teams and Customer Support to maintain and enhance existing product as well as to develop new products. The position demands excellent technical skills and knowledge coupled with strong leadership, planning, and management abilities. Knowledge and experience with one or more development methodologies, and experience developing engineering process is required.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

- Build a best-in-class engineering team that delivers excellent results through rapid iterations

- Learn and contribute to the business processes.

- Design and develop state-of-the-art approaches to solving complex and ambiguous problems

- Cultivate engineering and operational excellence through metrics and continuous learning

- Provide thought leadership and establish technical vision for the team

- Mentor and grow super star SDEs to take on increasingly higher responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

- 9+ years hands-on software development experience with proven track record of delivering results

- 2+ years software team leadership experience

- A strong background in data structures, algorithms

- Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions

- Proficiency with the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages and familiarity with emerging open-source technologies

- Excellent judgment, organizational and problem solving skills: technical, project, and personnel

- Exceptional skill in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts

Preferred Qualifications

- Success delivering products/services in a high-growth environment, exhibiting strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous customer-focused problems

- Ability to take raw product requirements and create software architectures and designs to bring them to life.

- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including Engineering, Program Management, Quality Assurance, and Senior Leadership

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and opinions
