Job Title: Vice President – Corporate Food Services Business
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing food service solutions for retail sites
- Increasing penetration of services on site and customer satisfaction
- The overall financial and operational results in the retail food services business within the geography
- Long term strategic planning, organic and inorganic growth and appropriate diversification, alongside the need to establish retail best practices in our existing client base
- Active role in the formulation, development and implementation of developmental and operational plans, objectives, policies, standards and the administration of the business operation
- Ensure the financial sustainability of food service business through achievement of business targets in financial and non-financial areas
- Support new business development through the promotion and costing of products & services and response to tenders & proposals that deliver new business in Sodexo’s Food Services Management
- Provide leadership for all personnel in the business and maintain linkages with key clients at all levels of their Web of Influence
- Recruit, lead, manage and motivate team to meet business targets and goals, providing direct and indirect training and development as needed
- Live and share with the team Sodexo’s values of Service Spirit, Team Spirit and Spirit of Progress
- Ensure a comprehensive understanding of, and response to, all customer expectations under each of the
relevant trading agreements and expectations
- Ensure the company’s commitment to Ethical Principles and Sustainable Development through support of company agreed initiatives
- Responsible for the delivery of high quality services and ensure quality management in all respects including safety, environment, hygiene issues and ensure very strict compliance with statutory and Sodexo global policies
- Preparation of timely and accurate financial and non-financial reports as required
- Manage and monitor payment schedule and ensure timely closure of all required invoices
- Be aware and report on competitor activities and strategies within your areas of responsibility
- Represent Sodexo at Industry meetings, seminars and conferences as required to ensure the successful management of the business portfolio
Desired Profile
- Around 5 – 6 years of experience with a track record of success in a senior operational role in the food service segment within Sodexo, preferably within Retail Food Services
- Strong communications skills, linked to clear project management competencies at a team led and self-managed level
- Proven ability to lead and influence senior managers, possess strategic leadership capabilities;
- Proven track record in effective management of all resources (people, procedures, place and profit), hopefully within a diverse cultural context
- Experience managing large accounts at multiple locations
- Must be biased towards quality, hygiene, safety and environment
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts and rate revisions
- High level of commercial and financial awareness
- Must have the ability to give strategic direction for the business vertical
- Ability to make strategies and evolve new concepts to suit the requirements of the market
- Good leadership skills with strong leadership orientation
- Ability to implement best practise and then monitor, tangibly, the success of both the implementation and the financial improvement
